Pyrite taunts John, but John brushes it off completely, thanks to years of training causing him to reach a permanent state of a calm mind.

What Grand Plan?

Stan responds that the order knew how you would react, because they were in the future and had already seen you.  The agents were sent into the past in order to send you here again, in order to send you to fight what had killed you before in order to keep the time loop stable.  Since you now have a second head with Pyrite, you may now have a chance to beat it if the both of you fight it in your current form, since the form you are in has stronger abilities than what either of you would have individually.

He also explains that the order is what arose in order to fight the eldrich abomination that you had been defeated fighting, and in order to keep their future the way it was, they realized you needed to be sent to die fighting it.  He also explains that they had perfected the anti-magic barrier in this time, so that it does not need worship in order to be active.  This means that you will never be able to reach the time of the Order.

You and Pyrite slaughter the council of priests and feast upon their remains in the manner you see fit, because Pyrite didn't like being excluded, and you don't take too kindly to being used.  Stan says you are making a mistake just before he dies by Pyrite's lightning, and your fire.

You attempt to implode time, but the barrier that is upon the universe that they created is still in effect, being cast into the past from the future.
