Check the hallway and the hollow floor.

Contemplate why we would phrase something that dangerously.

You head out back into the hallway, staggering a bit from the pain. smartly bringing the candle with you, the hallway is the same as you left it. You pick a spot where some boards appear to have come loose, knocking against it confirms the hollowness of the floor. looking around tels you there is no good way to open the floor without peeling back the planks. You get into position to peel back a plank, and with only a minor struggle getting it loose and ripping it out. You bring the candle to see what lies below, And are met with a being made of nightmares, you are paralyzed with fear at this demon with deep red eyes and a skin the color of pure fear. It's eyes contain unimaginable horrors to be bestowed upon whoever gazes upon them. It's circular mouth contains a seemingly infinite amount of saw-like teeth, promising the infinite torture of being eaten to anyone unlucky enough to be caught inside.

The demon bursts from the floor, destroying more wood planks around it while creating a sound of unimaginable horror and fear. You are thrown back as it bursts from the floor, landing on your back and still paralysed by fear of this demon, your fight or flight instinct kicks in and you start scrambling backwards, still trying to comprehend this being of pure nightmares. It turns to you on its bat-like wings and you see it is almost as long as you, it's wormlike body almost completly devoted to the mouth. As you hit the wall of the room you originated from whilst scrambling backwards, the door is open next to you, however the candle was knocked to the bookcase, which appears to have almost caught fire.

TIME FOR WISHFUL THINKING! Wish for the creature to be unable to attack us and roll the dice.

In your fear you quickly and in a paniced motion grab the dice and throw them, wishing for the beast to be unable to attack you. The dice hit the floor as the demon starts flying at you, right before it reaches you the dice stop moving. Before you are able to see the total of the dice you feel a terrible pain and black out.

"What a terribly unlucky roll." you hear a voice say. "Just high enough to get you sent here." the voice sounds genderless and monotone, you also cannot see anything. "Let me get you back into reality." You hear the sound of dice rolling and your vision returns. The demon is now lacking a mouth and wings, and is wiggling it's way towards you while glaring angrily. It does not seem as scary now.

Well... that was something. Thank whatever that was and use the candle to burn the demon. And then check our stats and grab our die.

((You were so lucky))

Muttering a thanks to whatever that was, you walk over to the candle and pick it up. Squashing the small fire it started with your shoe, you walk behind the demon while it struggles to turn around. You set fire to the demon, and it rapidly burns up, after burning you see some dust start floating to Stats. The book greedily sucks it in, shaking as it does so. After it finishes you open it up and see a new stat: Passive Magic: 7/10. And then it hits you, you've been unintentionally floating books around. as soon as you think about that they drop to the floor with a thud. Picking Stats up you look at your other stats, Health: 22/25, Soul: 10/20.

Wish for a more comfortable bed and roll the dice, then take a nap.

Tiredness begins to set in after all that has happened recently, though you don't know what time it is, you decide to take a rest. Picking up the die, you wish for a nice place to sleep and roll them. They land a total of 10. You black out.

"What an idiot you are. That's the second time you souled-out in the past 30 minutes." The voice is the same as last time, though with a hint of anger. You are surrounded by the same darkness that was here before. "Did you even actually read the books it layed on the shelf for you or did you skim it and forget it?" The voice is getting louder and angrier. "I'm not "the voice" either! I am a soul which was previously bound to Stats, idiot! There's plenty of us in here, and I'm just the random soul that happened to be picked. And you're not getting out of here until you tell me what you're not gonna do next time you want to sleep. Nobody here wants you to die, and the book doesn't either, but you're being so stupid I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet."

"Fuck off... wait, I just realized how the rolls work! I think."

"Oh did ya now? Already a demon in and just now figuring it out? Gonna take a lot more smarts than you curretly have to get through this. I'm done with you." The sound of rolling dice is heard before your vision returns.

You awake in the room you originally woke up in, resting your head on a nice pillow. The candle appears to be almost gone, and as you stand up, rubbing the sleep from your eyes you see the hallway door is now closed, and the rest of the room is unchanged.

Well then! Go back down the hall with the remains of the candle.

Bending down and grabbing the candle, you grab the doorknob and open the door. The hallway is the same as you left it, along with hole in the floor. It is eerily quiet and the candle will soon die.
