Another video up where the discuss story structure as well as reveal two more characters - a Persian mercenary named Xerxes, and a Spanish conquistador named Rodrigo.

They've also done a project overview and budget breakdown in an earlier video, explaining the sum they're asking for.

Just to recap what's happened recently in this seemingly doomed campaign, they put out a video where they basically obsess over CryEngine, a podcast about the music and art, and a video where they talk about how magic works in the game compared to Eternal Darkness, mentioning that it's supposed to be based on technology so advanced it seems like magic to us, and that there are going to be 9 eternals.

Seems they are scrapping the kickstarter, issuing refunds for everyone who donated on their webpage, then restarting it later.

Nine eternals? What! WHAT! Is insanity going to be a commodity then? Things were bad enough with three active ancients, a sealed one, and one that's just sorta there to dissolve monsters.

It also seems less likely that we'll be dealing with tactical rock-paper-scissors this time.

Looks like they are back up.... though I'm not exactly inclined to pledge again this time.

To be truthful... I am entirely disinclined to donate... mostly because of the episodic nature of the game. Which is a weird thing to say because Eternal Darkness was also somewhat episodic (SOMEWHAT). I just don't like the pacing of episodic games.

It's no longer episodic, though. It's now planned to be 8-10 hours instead.

Also, Solid Snake is gonna be voicing a main character.

A bit short, but suddenly a lot more interesting.

After a while I found his voice to be cheesy and intentionally so. Probably because all the parodies of his voice sound exactly like his voice.

It is like the Captain Kirk voice if Captain Kirk actually DID talk like that.

They've released a little video where they talk about and show some of the combat system they have in mind. Apparently it's kind of similar to Eternal Darkness, except you queue up 3 attacks at different parts that your character attempts to carry out. It's a bit vague, honestly, but at least it's more show this time and not just tell, compared to their previous campaign.

Also, a sort of tutorial video on how to suggest enemy designs on the backer forums, mentioning a few things about their workings and what can be expected.

A couple more videos - concept art and community art showcase, as well as a look into sanity systems, most notably hinting at the possibility of using insanity to reach hidden areas.

And with 9 days to go, it remains at 250k of its 750k goal.

So, under 48 hours left, and they're at 308k. Not gonna make it again. Curious what they'll do now.

On the other hand, they put up a reveal of one of the time periods it'd involve - 1942, with a nazi excavation team.
