304: I propose that rule 202 be amended from:
 202. Each player has exactly one vote.
to:
202. Each player has exactly one vote per proposal.
202. Each player may vote no more than once to any given proposal.

Added things, votes will be tallied tomorrow. I am going to adopt a rule in the object of fun that players can cancel and submit a new proposal to allow for modifications, too, if nobody has an objection.
Since the rules have to be a bit different for the internet and such. After the initial, tinkering to set things in motion without boatloads of unnecessary book-keeping, things will be left to run their course.

What is the correct format for reporting violations of rule 202?

304: hell no. Not only do we no longer have 1 vote each (ambiguity), but now we can't change our votes?

301: yes.
nominate 302 and 303 for discussion and amendment.

Quote from: 305
Whenever all players have submitted their votes, the voting is over early, as if the full 48 hours have passed. To facilitate this, a player may unvote on a proposal by writing down it's number and the words "unvote" or "withdraw vote" in bold next to it, in which case they are considered not to have voted on the proposal (and it won't be over if everyone else votes).

As it is currently phrased, 202 means 1 vote per player. You just voted no to 304 and yes to 301. that is two votes in total, you are one player. 2 votes between one player is a violation of 202. 202 has no ambiguity, it also makes the game impossible...

I see your point.
304: unvote and recomend for amendment. Make it say exactly what you mean (while keeping the 1 voting power per player) and you'll have my vote.

Doing all the tallying and stuff now.

Also, eww rule 202. I took it from the basic rules not thinking how it would translate with players able to suggest more than one thing at once. As it is I suppose only the last vote by a player until something passes counts?

EDIT: Tally complete, no rules have been altered. Player list updated. Any additional votes past the one you are allowed have been interpreted as a request to change your vote, and therefore only the last vote by each player has been counted.

Note that numbers stated in posts may be off as they will be bumped up as previous posts that weren't numbered are added, as well. Hasn't been an issue with voting so far but be aware of the numbers and quote the post if you want to be sure.

Yes to 306.

It currently takes 4 yes votes to reach a quorum.

I'm in.

301- For

302- Amend: Each time a proposition is closed for voting (either accepted or canceled), players who voted for or against that proposition are awarded one Money per each vote which counted. Only the players' final vote(s) count, not changes in voting.

303- Against

304- Amend: Each player is allowed one vote per proposal, which they may change between Yes or No until such time as the proposition is closed for voting.

305- Against

306- Against

New Proposition 307: All players with a forum join date prior to January 1st, 2012 may make TWO votes for each proposition, or may choose instead to make only one vote.

New Proposition 308: For purposes where votes are counted, or where players are awarded for votes, this is defined as only the players' final vote(s), that is, not votes upon which they have rescinded.

New Proposition 309: Players failing to vote in the proper format (that is, a bolded For or Against) are penalized and lose 1 (one) Money.

Alert! Most of the votes which have been made so far are invalid, as they are not in the form of a bolded For or Against. Only this post and Reply #6 by Quinnr contain valid votes.

Blargh, you are right... :( Fixing that. Darn rules-lawyerer.

But you should also make note of the last rule currently in play, all players have exactly one vote, and are currently unable to vote for multiple proposals at once due to stupid wording. So I suggest that you vote for 306 so we can fix that.

For - 306

And also only one rules suggestion per two days, as per rule 201.

Quorum has been raised to 5 players.

And all votes have been deemed invalid as per the rules.
(Except for the couple in compliance.)

I rescind my previous votes, in favor simply of 306- For.

Talk about 201 confused me, I thought you clarified that that was for modification of previous rules? Although that's fine. I rescind my propositions, including the one valid one, for later use. No point until we get 306 through.

I may make a proposition, next, that players cannot go back and edit the posts their votes are in to make them valid or avoid penalties. Probably text along the lines of having a penalty for having an edited post (since if they edit it before someone sees, they could have done anything wrong without us knowing).
