Nomic - (Game Died Due to Natural Causes)
« on: May 01, 2013, 09:12:38 pm »

This is a game that is an exercise in creativity and logic. The games rules begin very simple: players can propose and vote on rules, and not much else. It is up to players to create an awesome game themselves! You can find some basic info about the game here. The basic rule set here was created with these original rules and some changes inspired by other web-based nomics to make it fit for a forum. Feel free to join in at any time by posting "I'm in." and begin to propose some rules.

To exist or not exist, that is the query. For whether it is more optimal of the CPU to endure the viruses and spam of outragous fortune, or to something something something.

I'm in.

And I'll start by proposing a rule:

Proposal 301: Each player has a integer variable named "Money" that is kept track of in the first post. The amount for all players at the adoption of this rule is set to 10, and any new players who join after the adoption of this rule also have their "Money" set to 10.

Proposing two rules:
All conflicts between two Mutable rules shall be decided by an Arbiter.
All those with avatars that are monocolor gain the title of Arbiter.

Quote
201. Any player may propose one rule-change per two days by posting their proposal in this thread.
One of the initial rules.

HURP.

Proposal 303: All conflicts between two Mutable rules shall be decided by an Arbiter. An arbiter is one who's avatar (The picture they are represented by on the forums (Bay12forums.com)) is Monocolor or grayscale.

HURP.

Proposing:
All conflicts between two Mutable rules shall be decided by an Arbiter. An arbiter is one who's avatar (The picture they are represented by on the forums (Bay12forums.com)) is Monocolor or grayscale.

Adding under 302.

302. Vote against. Seems somewhat advantageous to a particular player, but more importantly, what happens if there are two Arbiters?

Someone needs to change that rule 202!  :P

I'm in!
PROPOSAL 302:  EVERY PLAYER MAY GAIN MONEY BY VOTING!

Adding under 303.

303 against. How much money do they gain? Seems like loophole territory.

I'm going to update at least once per day. In this first day or two, I reserve the right to make minor tweaks to immutable rules to make this work well. Updating votes and such in the morning.

Someone really needs to change 201.

It actually will be nice if there are lots of players, but not necessary with only a few.

Also we might need a wiki page to keep track of proposals if they move too quickly..

I'm in. Voting for 301, against 303.

303 Alteration: anyone with an avatar that is handmade by that person is considered an Arbiter.

A drawing, a screenshot from a videogame or film they made, a photo of their own creation (the photo itself does not count, only sculptures and such count), or an excerpt from their own writings.
