Also, weren't we supposed to press the buttons on the door and spell out STARVE HERETIC? Because, that seemed like what the puzzle was to me.

Time for the incredibly useful Wizard Light.

You fire up your MAGELIGHT and proceed down the EXCEEDINGLY DARK HALLWAY.
It is EXCEEDINGLY DARK.


You encounter a RED CURTAIN at the end of the HALLWAY.
JAMES reports that the it contains no traps.


The CURTAIN slides away, revealing a CANDLE-LIT ROOM.


Welcome, Master!


We have waited patiently for your return, oh glorious one! Have you finally conquered the world, as has been foretold?

That works. Then do the following.

Tap Jesse on the shoulder. "That demon thing working the curtain might be good fodder for that sword."

Use some sort of restraining magic to paralyze or otherwise disable the cultist dude.
