Yes, it is this time of the year once again. The first two games were stomped by us, both ending with no deaths (although the first one wasn't named an Ironman) and endless quantities of money and medpacks in the storage. This time, it won't be as pretty...
This time, the game was meant to be difficult by those lazy, unwashed Devs. This time, we try the impossible.

What can you expect from me :
- Talking over all the cut-scenes. ALL the time.
- Complaining about the game
- Ignoring the game's events and talking about something completely different
- Poor grammar, pounded into the ground even further as time goes by
- Curse words, a whole fucking lot of them
- Terribly insensitive jokes, and unintelligible references
- 100% commitment to beating the game with no deaths, on the toughest difficulty, without any knowledge about it from sources other than this very playthrough. No demo's, no trailers, no videos, no reviews. Just a few rumors and complains, that the Internet was flooding with after the game was released.

I expect bets on when, where and how will we die to start right about.. now. 
Note how the parts do not have titles. This is an attempt to make your experience as miserable as mine... Just kiddin'

Part 01 - Humble Beginnings.

The game is supposedly ~15-20 hours long, and deadlier than the last one for sure.

Well, to bet without spoiling.... I'd say the death will come when you shoot the two things into the thing and then have to step into a thing that lowers you into that thing so that you can shoot things inside of the thing.... using that one thing.

That would be where I had my first death. In particular because of that one thing you need to thing the things really messed with my mojo.

Having played through it, I'm not at all sure what part that is.  I have a hunch, but it doesn't quite fit the description...

Anyway, there was at least one boss fight where I had no clue what to do at first, so if you don't die before that, you'd best pay good attention to what they're telling you or it may be your first death.  In general I found this game to be harder than DS 2, although the difficulty didn't spike so bad at the end like in DS 2.  There's just lots more enemies and less ammo in general it seems.  Probably easier in co-op.

I'll say... your not going to die, but you'll wish it during the let's play. Dead Space 3 looks quite different mechanically from the first one, much more action then survival horror (well... as much as Dead Space 1 was in the first place)

Also : I appreciate the 'trust' people have in me.. or perhaps in the game being easy? I find DS3 somewhat more difficult than 2, if only because of those annoying axe-guys and reduced hit boxes for limbs. Although it may be just my rust, for i didn't even play pong during my vacation.

I probably will upload part 2 today. Possibly. Part 1 was boring as all hell.

Seeing as the game starts out terribly, here you have parts 2 AND 3.

Dead Space 3 has the single shittiest plot I've seen for a long time, and it's a pain to endure the game...
..but it's also intense and difficult, a perfect Ironman material!

While i thank you for the voice of confidence - and shall reward it with an update! - the game is becoming unreasonably bad. Combat is bringing me much joy, and moving onward through the challenge is quite rewarding.. But everything else is just an obstacle, with each step harder to overcome. I'm considering killing Isaac, just to stop this torment.


@ Endymion : I know the part you speak of, but i shan't tell whether I've gotten there / beaten it during the ironman, to avoid spoilers.

I like the combining gun mechanics, that seems a nice touch, along with the necromorphs that mutate further if you remove their torsos and such. They move a lot faster then they did in the previous games. Though... the games not shy from sticking those Co-op only areas in your face is it?
