Actually, it's usually forum mafia you're expected to have experience with.  They are... very different beasts.

Expect this game to eat up approximate 100 times as much time as a game of RL mafia. A minimum of an hour a day, and optimally at several times throughout the day.

i was reading a game and saw the little bubble near the PM button that says your online. I went to check for new posts, saw one in toon mafia, and knew you would be greeting the new player imediately. (it seems like your personality, helpful and kind until the game starts. All bets are off in-game)

I've seen new arrivals get scared off many times. But some of them (like you) turned out to be quite strong players right out of the gate, and there's no harm in giving someone a chance.

Hey man! And welcome to the mafia subforum!

We're all rather friendly and we hope you can join us in these games. We reccomend that you join the next begginners mafia when it begins, (mid to late next week) so that you can better understand how to play on a forum and some of the roles and terminology used by the players.

A couple questions though: Have you played mafia in RL before? and do you think you will get along with everyone?

I have never played in RL not enough friends I suppose. Perhaps I much rather prefer to play on forums as I can but my best game face on.

Based on what Ive read in the most recent magic mafia My aggressive style will most certainly cause me to bump heads with people. Speaking of my style, it has yet to reach maturity due to the fact that ive only played two forum games on mafiascum.

Enough fluff! To answer your second question: I think I can get along with anyone. I am a pisces after all.

The first time I was giving the role of cop. I was lynched on day one. I was omgused for my rvs vote. So naturally I decided to try and pressure him and build a case based off of that one omgus. Others viewed that as a scum tell and the pressure votes began to pile up on me. I panicked theb soft claimed an important towny thinking; surely anyone who would lynch day1 an important towny has to be mafia. They put me at L-1 AND I MADE A HUGE NOOB ERROR. I hammered myself and claimed my role in the same post.

Town lost. I learned from that game that: I should never self hammer. I shouldnt focus on one reaction during RVS. I shiuld remember it however.

The next game I was a regular villager. However this was a blind werewolf game. I used what I learned from my first game to make it into day 2 . I got nkd after building up a good case against who I thought was the werewolf leader fumbling. it tunred out he was the traitor... lol

It was a no lynch day 2. I got nked the traitor got lynched day 3. Town wasnt playing too well. Seemed obvious that he was the traitor when I got nked. Anywho I reported ti basic training shortly there after. I believe town lost that one.

Mini 1048 is the game where you self-hammered.

Newbie 1030 is the game you started first, though, and you dropped out in the middle of that game. In fact, after you self-hammered you only managed two more posts and then went AWOL.

Note that hammers are rarely used in forum Mafia-Bay12 games because of many good reasons. The RL time wasted due to indecision is one of the major factors here.

Must be your memory? Because we didn't have that as a common situation before, it was just used as a generality given the cases of agreement and explanation.
