"The Earth is the cradle of humanity, but mankind cannot stay in the cradle forever."
Konstantin Tsiolkovsky

-------------

After fixing the fission plant's shielding you take the time to explore the ship.

Working your way down the dark and cold corridors to quickly, uncover more signs that others have come before you, doors are forced open, soot marks cover the ceiling and the scattered  the junk and detritus of human habitation is ever present.

There are two main corridors running around the reactor and engines in a horseshoe shape to meet at large cargo bay to the rear of the ship.

The rooms closest to the ship remind you closely of cargo storage, with there bare metal walls and scattered shelving.

In between the corridors you have better luck the rooms are much more cabin like, indeed from the desiccated human remains of the unlucky inhabitant, they have clearly been used that way before.

You count a total of 26 cabins, all scattered with the junk and detritus of human habitation.

With clear limits on the space available, you can start planing....

A week passes and then another as you lay the cultists to rest in the desert sand, order supply for the trip, rebuild the controls and slowly dig the ship out of it's stone tomb.

Finally your ready, the sliver disk gleaming as the stars softy shine in the sky above.

To start off with, a moon base would be a good idea. We can use it as a hideout and a place to muck about with technology. After that, we'll head to a resource-rich area in Africa to build a base. There, we can recruit people into becoming cyborgs, get resources to turn those people into cyborgs and build military equipment, and it's generally one of the safer places to operate since (depending on the country) their military will be weak and more powerful militaries (the ones capable of hurting us) would have pretty big logistical issues. Meanwhile, we'll send out missionaries to decadent first-world countries to secretly turn people into cyborgs and help promote the idea of cyborgism to the general populace. For the third part in our three-pronged plan we'll send a special operations team to Egypt to get a foothold there and deal with the snake cult.

For now, let's make a moon base.

For now, let's make a moon base.
There's a rusty squeal as the twin drive engines spark back to life, like a child's first steps, the ship is unsteady and slow as it slowly ascends, wobbling in to the sky.

All most as soon as your flight levels out, there's a ping from the radar screen.

"Two! No! Four Tangos closing fast."
Sylvia's voice echos with a distinct synthesized rasp as a gray streak flashes past.

A steady consist bleeping starts as the jets lock on the ship.

"Every one get hold on tight! "
Erika's steel teeth chatter as she shouts before you are violently thrown back by the sudden burst of acceleration.
By the time the roar of your ascent stops, the icy black void of space lies before you.

Reach low orbit and you’re halfway to anywhere. It is time to set the next stage in motion,
You going to need a base, somewhere to call home.
Then let others see that the mind can over come the weakness of flesh, the body transcend to steel as it laughs at evolution.

In a few scant hours the Daleth drive has carried you across the void and up to the moon.
The suns shines down on the crater scared dark side of moon as you slowly land on the soft Lunar soil.

In childish excitement hour pass as Buzz Aldrin's immortal words are endless repeated.
Hours soon turn in to days and weeks as your new home takes shape deep under the dark Basalt planes.

-------------

"That it i'm forceing you to watch dark star, then you can tell me that sentient bombs are a good idea.
No after last time the only thing i trust to guide a bomb is Classical mechanics, after all we are throwing down hill.
Now have you got the catch the flight window, so we'll have to pick this up later
Any good luck and do take care down there."
You sake Claudia scaly hand as she broads the ship back to earth.
-------------

I guess i should do some thing to help elevate the Continuity Lock-Out.

So theres to be a short recap of the important events, before the next up date.

B)Run for your car

Just to do something new.

As the smoke clears from the remains of room 20, you grab the shoulder of a daze looking Nicolette and yell "CAR!".

Smashing the door open in your hast, you skid out in you the landing steadying your self on the hand rail.

With a view clear, you can see many more attackers, there are dozens of marked men surrounding the place.
Laser sights home in, flashing in the darkness as you turn towards the stairs.

The way is blocked by a trio of men, in the blink of an eye you draw your pistols and fire.
Bullets glance off your armoured body as you run down the balcony, cutting a blood path through the attackers.

You don't break stride for the steps, instead ypu vault over the banister, cracking the paving as you land.
Nicolette lands, moments after you.

The incoming fire stings as rounds hammer in to your amour as you both dart across the car park.

Wheel squeal as Nicolette spins the car in a j turn.
It's a violent seesaw as the car jerks under Nicolettes ham fisted driveing, but minutes later the sound of shooting fades away in to the distance as you speed of in to the night.

Sitting back you consider you next move.

You maybe physically fine but you in a mess visually, gun shot wounds are noticeable even if there only skin deep, when there is steel under the skin people notice.

The cars not good for much longer, at least 1 tire is running flat and the fuel needle is heading to empty fast and then there the bullet holes in it.
Topping it of your running short on ammo and money.

First of all, cover our bullet holes as best we can with clothing. Second, use the last of our money to get a motel room. Third, use our Symbite Reproduction to give us new skin - hopefully bullet-resistant - while Nicolette finds criminals to kill and steal from.

First of all, cover our bullet holes as best we can with clothing. Second, use the last of our money to get a motel room. Third, use our Symbite Reproduction to give us new skin - hopefully bullet-resistant - while Nicolette finds criminals to kill and steal from.

Your still miles away from the nearest motel when the car starts spluttering.
Unceremoniously you dump it by the side of the desolate road and walk the last mile to the motel.

Before you head inside, you camouflage your wounds as best you can.
With a new pair of trousers, long coat. a pair of gloves and a base ball cap pulled down low over your brow.
It's by no means prefect, but your not exactly an oil painting right now.

The motel is run-down and decrepitude but fortunately rooms are cheap and available both by the night and the hour.
It takes a fair chunk of your money but you get a room under the name smith.
---------

Inspecting your wounds the the shower, you start to consider ideas of how you could make your skin tougher more resistant.
The simplest would be to do away with it all together and embrace the chrome look or maybe a ceramic coating, all stealth black, still you don't have time for that, flesh will have to for now.

You spend the night, slowly producing a a single large symbite, its a short round thing almost like an earthworm but covered in long leach mouthed tendrils, that slowly pulsate.
Its skin is black and glossy with a thick lair of mucus.

As you reach in to the sink it darts forwards sliding up your arm, it  glides down you chest until it finds an open wound.

A wave of pain grips you as it start wiggling fast, working it way into the open wound, digging in to your body.
Clinching your teeth to fight for breath as it dig its way across your body, a raised lump worming about under the skin.
Every few seconds there a sharp stabbing as it bites you, leaving a painfull pea sized lump behind.

Over the next day you can the lumps growing, spreading out as they merge with you forming a dense layer of liveing armour.
---------

"...you have grown ridges or something inside you, there one" Nicolette gently prods your stomach as she get to grips with your changes.

There's a knock at the door and the call of "Room service" you both look at each other, neither you ordered anything.
"Hey, ladys, you two got a dead cat in there or what? the room stinks"

"Fuck you, asshole."  Nicolette calls out the making the mutual wish for privacy clear.
---------

"... main dealers name is Tuco, he comes round every couple of day, takes his profits, resupplies the dealers and settles any problems.
We need to take him, that's the only time when all the moneys in one place and he can put us up the food chain, if we take him alive.
The bad news is there's no schedule so we well just have to keep an eye out for him.
Do you have any ideas off how to play it?"

While Tuco's doing the meeting, stealth kill the border guards and finish by melee-killing everyone else. Let's not make too much noise.
You remove your sunglasses as bring you eyes level with the clerks, letting him get a good view of the thick raised scar running the length of your right cheek.

While Tuco's doing the meeting, stealth kill the border guards and finish by melee-killing everyone else. Let's not make too much noise.

"Stealthy, i want to hear him talk a little first, he may be usefull to more than just us..."

Then the waiting begins, long hours of nothing.
It's late when Tuco finally appears, almost 5AM, and the night is still air lingers with the sent of cheap perfume.

You ready your self quickly, cocking both pistols and slipping them home into your holsters, a black leather duster over the top and your ready to go.

Tuco's ride is in the car park, the large black SUV fills two parking bays with it bulk.

"Nicolette can you deal those two? Quiet and with to two much damage to the car?"
You point at the two goons guarding it.
An evil grin crosses Nicolette's face as she slides a long hunting knife out from her boot.

Your spine tingles with anticipation, as you head after Tuco, there's a loud metal clicking as you pop your knuckles.

Tuco's heavy stands outside of the door,  his fat gut hanging out in a cheap printed silk shirt.
"What the f**k you what? there's busy piss off!" he waves at you with a joint still burning in his fingers as a you approach.

You don't break stride, a sweeping hay maker caches him in jaw, spilling teeth as it shatters apart.

Entering the room slowy you breath in, letting the stinks of cheap perfume fill you lungs as you enter the gloomy candle light.
Pulling a drape aside you find Tuco, speared out over a bed, one woman kneeling over him with a bunch of grapes and another between his legs.

"ah ah you just relax, AND YOU Fu**off..." her words stop dead as she caches sight of you.

Tuco darts to the side of the bed reaching from his clothes.
A near naked blonde pushes past you.

"Come on you motherf***er!" Tuco yells as he barrels into you, switch blade gleaming in the candle light.
The blade is less than a toy against you, skidding off as he trusts widely at you.

As the blade darts out again, you catch his wrist and crush the bones with your inhuman mechanical strength.

Grabing his neck, you pull him up to eye level with a vice like grip.

You stare straight at his eyes, slowy removing your sunglasses as you pull him in closer, letting him get a good view of the thick raised scar running the length of your right cheek.

"What the F**k are you?" Tuco exclaims open mouthed with shock.

"Im the future, a child of flesh and steel, come to claim my due." you stun him with a headbut.
-----------------
Nicolette wraps her coat around he self as you both return to the SUV.

"So do you think he'll come thru? he could just up and disappear."
"He will, if he doesn't then he joins his friends in the desert.
and besides we have other things to do right now." You hold up a brick of cash to illustrate.

Get a symbite to fix our scar and also get a tracking symbite on Tuco. After we've secured the money and we've all left, Nicolette will ambush the other guys and kill them all while we take care of Tuco.

I guess i was less than clear last up date, Nicolette did kill the other guys and you just finished burying them in the desert.
------------------------------

"Well then it's shopping time, after all we lost our luggage when those commando guys attacked."
Nicolette smiles.
"Shopping, what a brilliant idea, can you just give me a minute to check that his tracking implant works before we go."
You check the transponder and a dot steadily move across you phones screen as Tuco starts walking down the road.
"It good, the signal's come throu loud and clear."
-----------

As Nicolette drives south, you take a moment to inspect your wounds.
There's a long thin scab already covering the gash.

After a few hours of uneventfull driving you finally arrive in Las Vegas.
