Argleblargoburgle-d'argle- No, wait, Yoink!
Whoops.

>Ask if recon can be done in time.
The Captain has the navigation recalculated to a remote point near the target so that reconnaissance can be performed. The ship's departure has been delayed for these calculations.

Accost the G.M.
You conveniently cease to exist for a turn.
Escorts: 2 infantry(sluggish), 6 cannon fodder(sluggish).
Distance to reeducation: 6 turns.
Spoiler: status (click to show/hide)

>head to military equipment hold.
>steal some military equipment

You find a basic ranged weapon easily enough, but can't really hold it effectively, so it is just sticking out of you at an odd angle where you can't really use it effectively.

Escort Team: Be delayed by various circumstances possibly related to various malfunctions and or eroded parts
They seem to be not existing for a turn. This seems to be related to some extreme fail amongst three related actions.

Get to the hangar!
Ye effectively navigate the ship and find yourself amongst large quantities of landing craft, land vehicles, and anti-ship personnel within an expanse.

Time passes... Huzzah!

Examine ships and weapons. Are any of them combat-ready and flyable? Are there any racks of missiles nearby?

Montage!
Dum. Dum-dum-dum. Dum-dum-dum. Dum-dum-derrrrrrm...

>Get ready for combat, get melee and range weaponry.
You are checking your weapons, looking disappointed.
You are opening compartments and pulling out random paraphernalia.
You are looking behind panels and tapping on walls.
You are checking your weapons, looking disappointed.

*Beat* You grasp the shoulder of one of the infantry, your escorts all turn to you.
You yank the control button off of a random maintenance unit and hold it in the air.
You throw it to the side and point at your waist, and then at all the waists.
You pose with a gesture to the great beyond.
The infantry charge down the corridor without regard.
One of the cannon fodder shoots itself in the waist, another shoots a third in the waist.
Two others become still.
You are standing, with pieces of your former companions scattered across your face, and one of your companions staring at you.
Escorts: 2 infantry(berserk), 4 cannon fodder(1experimenting, 2passive, 1looking).
Distance to reeducation: 6 turns.

>look for some kind of equipment trolley

You are looking through cupboards.
You are looking through containers.
You are looking in boxes.
You are looking at empty rooms.
You emerge onto the bridge and try to look busy.

Fuel: Have problems. Sludge, leak, impurities, improperly handled enriching, overclocked engines...
There is a frosted pipe, it is dripping.
There is a wet metal panel, it is rusted.
There is a large pipe leading to a reactor, it is cracked.
There is a rusty metal plank, falling towards a glowing crack.
There is an arbitrarily large number of canisters, a shock-wave passes through them.

Examine ships and weapons. Are any of them combat-ready and flyable? Are there any racks of missiles nearby?
There is a row of landing craft, all at attention and ready to go, except for one with extra baffles, dents, and panelling.
There is a quick succession of anti-ship folk each next to a convenient rack of missiles...
And another...
And another...
Spoiler: status (click to show/hide)

Split-screen! :An oom, b1, and r2 on the bridge scratching their heads. A 3po striking a pose in front of a b1. An ig-86 between a missile rack and a vulture.
A jolt rocks the cast.
Everything turns red.
*song cuts out*
*ominous powering down sound*

Load a landing craft, then set the missiles to blow and fly out of there.

Emerge  y generator: A ti ate; Emerge  y systems: A ti ate
Terrible insects charge in through the new vent and start eating the newly exposed systems, but they also put out the fires and coat most of the exposed areas with insulating slime...

Harming my masters or their property is bad...
These missiles and craft are delightfully destructive, I shall check if they are functional!

The missiles do indeed seem to be perfectly functional, you even take one with you as you enter one of the landing craft and run through the systems, which all seem to be operating effectively. You would leave, but the hangar doors are sealed due to the transit preparations.
