You look out the window.  It is a cloudy day.  The sun does not shine in the sky. People crowd the streets of New York City.  You change into people clothes.  Shall you go outside?

[anailater]

No, they are watching you, make a defensible position and hide.

[alamoes]

You decide not to go outside.  You can always change your mind.  You go downstairs and look for a hiding spot in case last nights events transpire again.

wonder why we are paranoid.

[alamoes]

You wonder why you are taking so many precautions.  It is probably because your home was recently broke into!

try to remember what we wanted to get done today.

You should probably call the police.  Your home has been violated.  Otherwise you have no real plans, you should probably get a job.

try to remember how old we are, what gender we are and why we didnt already have a job.

PS: also try to remember how we afford our own home without a job.

You worked odd jobs.  You were once a courier, and a job got you a lot of money.  Another time you worked at a bar, and saved a guy's life.  You are male, and you are 23 years old. 

[anailater]

Did you keep contact with the man who's life you saved?

[alamoes]

He was some professor or something.  He lives in your area, and you've run into him a few times.  Otherwise why would he show up to that bar?

contact the police and file a police report.

Check to see if anything is missing.

Check the local newpaper or online for a job.

Try to remember what qualifications you have.

You go down stairs.  The door is open.  You probably should have closed it, but never went into that room, nor bothered to check it.  Nothing is gone. 

So, you call the police.  You tell them that your house may have been broken into. 

Police ~ "I'm Officer Creighton.  We'll see what we can do for you sir.  Are there any stolen items?"

"No."

"How do you know someone broke into your home?"

"The window was open, I had shut it earlier.  I also found the door to my apartment room open. "

"Where do you live?"

Well, where do you live?  Obviously New York City, but where?

The most crime ridden scumbag part of the entire city, at least the rent is cheap.
