Sighing loudly Jack opened his eyes and called, “Come in.”
The short stout man with the short shaved hair walked in timidly, “Hello, Jack.”
“It’s Mr. Smith, Chins,” he snapped, setting his feet on the rich carpet of his office.
   “Of course. Of course. I just came in to tell you that we would have to postpone the meeting you set for 3 o’clock. We have someone from the West branch coming in, and they want to talk to you personally,” he responded casting a quick at the gold plate on the man’s desk.
“Do you see this plate, Chins? Do you?” Jack didn’t want for a response, “Of course you do you have eyes.  But I doubt you do sometimes. Because this says Jack Smith CEO.”
“Yes, of course, Mr. Smith.” Chins stared at the ground.
Jack snapped at the stumpy-looking man standing in front of his desk, “Yes, but you insist that we postpone the meeting!”
“I—I—” he stuttered.
“Get out!!” Jack screamed

Anybody got any tips on lowering the sensitivity of a mic?

Can I get someone to say "F*** you Mario" in a Gravely Bowser voice? --you're burning alive in lava right now cursing at mario. from the mario game (not that anyone wouldnt catch that)

im going to have it bleeped so i really only need a FFFFF noise for the first part there.

Anybody got any tips on lowering the sensitivity of a mic?

put a thin blanket or thick cloth over the mic when speaking into it.
it makes you sound not as harsh and "S" noises sound softer instead of that dreaded sharp ear-piercing noise that mic's like to pick up

Massive bump, but I was hoping I could request a longer* piece of script, without any swearing or sexual content, but that involves some quiet parts and some yelling.

*range of 100 - 250 words, and perhaps more than one character (but both male, I don't think I'm up to doing convincing female voices)

How's this? It's from a forum RP I'm done. Might be a bit on the long side, so just tell me if it needs to be trimmed down. There's another conversation partner, but they're silent during it, just using gestures. Hence the pauses.

[Conversational, slight educated (But not really posh) British accent] It's been so long since I visited the twelve ports and wharfs! Last time ended in defeat in that stupid bloody city, but they all starved anyway, so who's laughing now? So, you're the Stranger, correct? Very interesting. I believe you come from this very land, in a sort of roundabout way? [Brief pause] You're very rude, you know that? Seven people on this very night will change the course of this world's destiny. Perhaps not today, but perhaps tomorrow. This world's become dreadfully boring since our mutual friend told his mutual friends to start wrecking the place. [Blunt tone] What are you doing here? [pause] Hm? Me? Oh, the usual. Chaos, destruction, madness, murder. Business, you know. Of course I won't be doing anything right now. Patience is a virtue, as they say. Who's they? I definitely know it's not you, at least. You're mute. I don't like mutes. Where's your two friends? I heard you travel with a Sword and a Scarecrow? [pause] Does that mean I'm right on the nose or I should stop asking questions? I really don't like you, can you please just talk like a normal person? I think it would be for the best if we tried working together. Despair and chaos aren't really that far apart on the spectrum. We certainly don't like that piece of crap in the cloak, do we? You can try your usual stuff but it's not going to work! You do understand that, right? You're not going to spread misery and despair like a muckspreader with those seven around! We have to deal with them first. I learned that lesson the hard way, and if you just let us work together, this wouldn't be... [pause, then yelling] Tosser! [aside] You can't get anywhere with some people.

hmmm... Despite being male, I can do an excellent wicked witch voice, including the cackle.

I can also do a greasy used car salesman, and a TV gameshow announcer voice that are pretty good.

Sometime in the next few weeks I'll have a good recording area again, I could probably spend 20 minutes or so speaking quietly and yelling 200 words. To be clear, are you asking for someone else to vocalize words that you are writing? Because I can do that.

Linux: I need to know what desktop environment you are driving

Windows: Right click on the little speaker in the task tray, then go to the advanced mixer. use the menus at the top to switch to "Recording settings". Adjust the volume slider for the microphone.
