The increased damage is to the Aegis, not you. It's very vulnerable to Close Range attacks (takes increased damage and is destroyed faster) but reduces medium and long range attacks. So vulnerable to close range - and completely bypassed by melee attacks. Might want to find a gun.

It's also the only defence against mental attacks and can be recharged at will, so yay.
Ehehehehehe....well, this should be fun at least.

For me, yes. If you want it to be fun for you, don't get yourself killed before your first mission.

Activating paranoid goggles.

Yet another question: do Aegises last until destroyed or until the cool down runs out?

Until destroyed or you can recharge one mid-way down. The cooldown is after creating an Aegis so you can't spam a new one every turn.

Ah, that's good.

I do have some RPing being written up, yes.
Kind of. I'll write it up later when I'm not full of rage over an entirely unjustified cause.

Dispelled! And now to wait.

Apologies for the double post, but am I being impatient or have the others forgotten about this?

I'm being impatient, aren't I. It's this one.

I didn't have a comp to type with until recently...

Also, questions for the GM

Do cooldowns start after the skill ends, or when you use it?
On my 'multi-key' item-is that essentially a swiss army knife or just a universal key? Can it be manipulated at will or does it automatically adjust itself? I'm hoping for a pair of scissors on that thing. :P
How do we 'recharge' abilities and items? In between missions or during a rest period?
Is ammunition for our basic weapons considered unlimited?
I noticed my char starts with no armor, in exchange (I think) for " +1 to movement and combat manouever CR, +1 to agility rolls" and a wonky looking shield that at least recharges and is hopefully concealable, despite it being inferior to Shootandruns who also has armor. How does armor work, anyway? Can my shield be worn with armor? Will wearing any armor lose my agility bonus?

I'd also like to inquire as whether we're restricted in the variety of protection we can have; that is, we can have an Aegis and Armor, but no Shield? Or is this not the case? Please not be the case.
What's the limit on number of weapons we can carry? I imagine it's two on your person?
And, edited RP a little.

I've been (and still am) struggling with a nasty fever, so excuse slowness/not making senseness.

@Dwarmin: Cooldowns start when you use an Ability and block use of all Abilities for that period (Equipment cooldowns are invididual, though). I might decrease the cooldowns if necessary.

The multikey is basically a block of metal that can take on pretty much any shape needed, adjusting itself automatically to fit whatever lock it's stuck in. I'm sure you could force it into scissor shape.

The gear with 'Uses' are replenished between missions/at the ship. Ammunition is not unlimited (you can carry 3 clips at a time), but can be picked up during missions.

Your bonus has nothing to do with your lack of Armor and there's nothing stopping you from getting some later on. That's a perfectly good Shield, young woman, and I won't have you badmouth it. Most Armors don't give any modifiers either way.

Armor reduces incoming damage directly, so you require high-Damage weapons to break them down. However, when reduced to 0 AP, Armors are destroyed until you can repair them, usually on the ship.

@Xantalos: You can have two types of Protection. Armor-Aegis, Armor-Shields, Aegis-Shields - all work. Enemy bosses might have all three because I'm a bastard.

You can indeed have two weapons on your person for most of the time. I'll let you see which combinations work best yourself.

Hey, good thing this was delayed, cause I haven't been on the forums all that much recently. I'll definitely be paying attention to it now.

It was not my idea to make him bipedal. The necessities of the story have caused it. Therefore I take no blame for any resemblance to bipedal cartoon dogs.

That won't stop me for milking that resemblance for everything I can get out of it, though.
