Exactly what it says in the subject line. Apparently, it is almost impossible to find mugs hewn from stone.

Anyone have any favorite sources? Anyone have any information on this at all?

Zazzle has mugs which are part stone, but I have yet to see an entirely dolomite mug or a quartzite mug just yet. I guess not enough human caravans have traded with the Dwarves and survived to procure a good supply of mugs.

Carve one yourself! Anyone can carve no-quality-modifier mugs, it just takes more time!

Even if we carve it out ourselves, I don't think we can safely use them for drinking, not being glazed and all that.
Perhaps it would be best to procure a metal/glass/porcelain/wood mug, since they are easier to produce (only one step)? If you really insist, I guess you could use resin to glaze the stone mug to harbor liquids.

Those are both glorious and far too expensive. I may have to buy twelve.

I have considered trying to make one from Soapstone, but I got some soapstone pebbles to play with to try and see how easy it would be, and I failed miserably at trying to cut them into squares, or anything resembling anything, really, despite the fact that, supposedly, you can cut soapstone with a butterknife (Not a -total- lie, but close enough!)

Alas, there is noone making granite or quartz mugs, or anything interesting other then that temperatureware site. Alas!

Though, the best place to get the temperature ware site is not directly, but from a distributor: http://www.mgdirect.co/Soapstone-Beverage-Mug_p_936.html - much better values, I think. Still .... eh. I'd love a granite mug! Or something more dwarfy then soapstone.

You can easily buy a +marble mortar and pestle+, and throw the pestle away. They look rather cup-like.
The only problem is they are impractically heavy and thick-walled, though I'm sure DF ones are as well.
