You know, if we shot 682 into a literal pulp, divided the pulp into separate piles less than a pound each, then individually dissolved each pile in acid, vaporized the acid/pulp mixture, then vacuum suck the vapor and blow them in several different directions to the winds, I think that would be as close to dead as it could ever be without shooting the vapor into the Sun.

OOC:is that before or after we strap 682 to a 200 megaton thermonuclear warhead? and detonate said warhead?

IC:Also a series of requests:

Can the connector tunnel that connects the above-ground building to the underground facility have a series of 15 metre thick reinforced steel blast doors? roughly 6?

And can we have a 200 Megaton Nuclear bomb reserved for later when we are building further down? Wouldn't want any dangerous SCP's to escape......

and finally, can I, Karl Ernst Rasch have a nano-tech lab so i can build an idea i have been having. I call it, the 'Nanosuit'.

ALSO, requesting a subatomic particle analyzer and an ingot of telekill alloy. Manufacture of this invaluable material is of utmost importance.
(OOC: I cant remember if the Telekill alloy self replicates which would make it infinite. Disregard if this is the case).

I remain unconvinced that a nuclear warhead would do sufficient damage, even  were 682 in the exact centre of the blast radius, 682 has shown the ability to withstand damage that normal matter under the normal laws of physics could not.

Doctor Rasch, please note that the storage of telekill in a facility with any other SCP is strictly forbidden by regulations. This is not a telekill facility, and the risk of contamination is too great.

I would like to request that if we obtain any weaponizable spc's, then they should be stored in such a way that any spc attempting escape will not encounter them on the way up. The thought of a an spc wielding an equivalent of 668 worrying.
I propose weaponizable SCPs, if safe, and further weaponized and stored in the hands of our agents.

There are no plans to undergo the enormous number of potential problems that might arise from transfering 682, but if we can develop a technology capable of destroying 682 it would be fully worth any diversion of Foundation resources.
I would remind you that such success has been limited at best, and the consequences of 682 gaining access to either of those objects could prove catastrophic for the entire world, and so cannot be risked.
Hence my surprise. Apparently I misunderstood your earlier statement.

I am pretty sure nuking SCP-682 has already been tried. My curent plans for if I ever have a go at dealing with it involve heavy use of various SCP-294 derived additives to it's proven acid bath, including immensely strengthening the acid while slowing down time for 682 thus making it's adaptations much slower from our perspective. Hopeful end result is a fluid where each atom of it is held in an individual nanoscale cage and suspended in time - there is not much hope of permanently destroying 682, but a containment system that requires no maintenance and cannot be reversed without large amounts of specific resources and knowledge is the next best thing; if it' less likely to escape and harder to free than just creating a new one, it's for most purposes equivalent to having been destroyed. I mean, who's going to comb the entire sun for billions of diluted nanocages, then break them all open, break suspension, and reunite all the particles? Easier to just put an alligator and a Nokia 3310 in SCP-914 on Very Fine.

Please note that at no point will you be expected to contain SCP-682. I'm going to (attempt) to create new ones, though these may be as dangerous or even more dangerous than 682.

It hasn't. The Foundation figures that the chance of 682 escaping (or, worse, learning to duplicate nukes...) is too high for the miniscule chance it would be destroyed.

Worth consideration.
Might be easier to just input "Something that can kill SCP-682" in 294.

Oh crap, Site 12 is going to be a Keter containment unit isn't it?

Just jumping in to say that while we might theoretically be able to duplicate 148 with the everything tree, we must remember that is is spontaneously increasing in density, though not volume, and that prolonged proximity removes all capacity for verbal and nonverbal communication.

I don't like repeating myself. All agents and researchers please note that never at anytime will we be in possession or have any access to any SCP-148 (Telekill) ingots. Please terminate this line of discussion.

Name: 'Professor' Earbane Audgisil

Born in Iceland, Earbane-or Eric as he prefers to be called-was an orphan raised by a small fishing village stuck in the past. At age six, he bought a violin while on a trip to the city. Annoyed by his awful practicing, the villagers christened him Earbane. Determined to prove them wrong, he took lessons in the city and mastered the instrument within six years. When he began attending college he realized he was assuredly unique from all his classmates, quickly mastering any subject he put himself to. He was picked up by the federation after he began researching neurological properties to understand his condition. He holds skills in a variety of subjects.

Skills: Universal Savant(4), Neuroscience(1)[Violin Skill: 4]

Personality: Outwardly introverted, but fiercely determined and independent. Hates small, sleepy hamlets with a burning passion worthy to eclipse the sun.

Age: Currently twenty-three.

He immediately begins to beavergoat the man quite thoroughly! At the very beginning, the man is mystified by James' actions, but his face quickly becomes a mask of horror when the procedure starts!

"OH GODS WHY? WHYYY?"

After a twenty minute session, the man is left white as a sheet, hairless and completely and utterly dead. James congratulates himself on a job well done!

They already tried that, and it destroyed the facility housing 294 and bathed it in high levels of radiation.

I'm reminded of a time I was playing D&D, and the group was trying to figure out how to get through doors 100 feet tall, 100 feet wide...and 100 feet thick.

Jackson Dralig

Researcher
Skills: Biology:3 Psychology: 1 Chemist:1
Backstory: When testing a new, possibly anomolous object discovered days after the Foundation was first formed, he found himself trapped in a sort of "Spirit" form, in which he could not physically interact with things. He has been able to "possess" organisms for a second or two, but never for very long, until at one point he wandered upon Site 12, and found himself drawn into an (Non-player) SCP researcher being relocated.
