Everyone knows butt-touching is a sacred art, and for one is the purest form of connection between one and another.

Pray to god and god will touch butts.

Feels good.

Messaged Exadv1. He went back in time and never made SS13. No more butt touching anywhere.

I too messaged them to ban everyone who has played on the server from BYOND

Xenoarchaeology is hard guys.
The artefacts actually getting pulled from the rock seems to be random whether or not it'll actually happen.

You have to do a ton of tests to determine it, and pick exactly right. But yeah, it is hard, and really time consuming.

However, if you find something, it may be something awesome like a mecha.

Honestly I'd rather have a collection of alien cutlery and stuff than a mecha.

You can just pick with the 1 depth tool. It's not hard, just time consuming.

Nothing ever shows up on an odd depth, although this may have changed, but if not, use a 2-pick. They halve the time it takes.

Another thing that might be outdated, but when I was regularing xenoarch, I almost never broke any artifacts. The only times I did were when I misread the readings.

Oh, the readings are fine. I'm just not sure what sequence of events causes the artefact to actually... come out.

To be honest that seems like a stupid thing to have. There's no challenge since you had to have seen the material to find the depth, and as far as I'm aware a forcefield thing doesn't make actual sense regardless of what lasers it uses.

Like three of the lasers have no purpose.

Use iron for metallic composite.
Mercury for metallic derivative.
Potassium for long exposure particles.
Nitrogen for crystals.
Carbon for organics.

Why does the server always die right before I get to have !!Fun!! experimenting with the engine :P

Or carpeting the entire station. It was a tossup.
