Meta is really big and really cramped.
It's better than the boringness of boxstation.

It has a much more interesting layout, with things that aren't too heavily used, like Chapel and Library and Cargo Disposals being shoved into Arrivals-part of the station, and things where Things are Happening (Science, Medical, Engineering, Bridge, Bar) being in the center.

It also has a number of cool solutions you cannot find in boringstation. Although I'd love if the retractable bridge's buttons would bolt the airlocks on both sides of it...

All the little internal lounges are wasted on a small pop.

If that's your only argument, meta is still better than box. My main complaint is that each department has it's own atmos sub-system.

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

Antag tampering without murderboning the whole station. Which I suppose supports the small lounges, but that really subdivides the station and you're more likely to get long term multi-session meta friendships/hatreds.

What are you even talking about... I guess it makes sense not to have it murder all of the station, but flooding the ENTIRE station to get the shuttle called is hard because of this.

I've always wondered what has to be done to get the server back up and running after a crash. Also I'm back from my vacation, but I'll be gone this weekend.

Two things:

1: I need to become aware of the fact that the server has crashed.(dosen't always happen)
2: I need to be home(a rare thing in my life right now)

I'll be home around 10:00PM CST tonight to restart it.

Although it would mean that the Atmos-tech actually has to walk around to do his job, rather than setting everything up and lounging in one inaccessible spot.

I would prefer it.

As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

I learned just now while learning how to engineer, that blobs can still be random events* and happen, but be playerless and only grow as far as the core's natural growth goes. While trying to kill it, I got dead. Moments later, I got thrown into the blob core as the Overmind. Cool.

Not really. With this setup, you either have low pressure in the departments and medium pressure in the general station, or good pressure in the departments and no pressure in the general station. 99% of the atmos techs won't bother with the subrooms. And even without them, they won't sit around in atmos all day and die of boredom.
