I really feel that the game lacks a subtle way of taking out the AI (cutting power wires will take hours).
Well, except ripping up the t-coms (already puts the whole station into high-alert) and then having access to the core, overriding the turrets, praying the AI doesn't like, look at its core and then carding/bashing it in.
Why take it out and cause everyone to panic when you can subvert it? You're not supposed to take it out unless it's malfunctioning or a traitor, and even then not alone.

Hey guys, I would just like to apologize for last nights round. It was my first time playing as Ai, and wouldn't you just know it, I was antag too. But because I was so busy figuring out how to do stuff and what the AI tab buttons did, I didn't even notice I was the antag! Turns out, in the beginning I had checked the right chat bar, and saw nothing unusual, so I didn't look at it again until I figured out my controls. But because there had been some OOC chat at round start, the glaring red text saying I was antag didn't immediately show up, hence why I failed to notice. On the bright side though, I learned how to Ai, so at least something good came out of it.

Is the server down?

Miauw72: Players are horrible. I've subverted AIs dozens of times, but it mostly ends with them ignoring the laws (we saw some of that AI can do whatever the hell it wants vs AI should obey its laws in this thread already) or the player going out of there way to spoil it, like "I'm not allowed to state the law or person who changed it or mention the fact that it was changed, but this ai suggests that if a change would have happend, Thtb would have done it, but I didn't actually say that, lulz".

Or the AI player just isn't "good" enough to be of use, like, how can you not open a door?

Most are just bad liars...

Also I ICly dislike most mechanical things and AIs, they can't be drugged and dressed up.

Yeah, but you're really not supposed to take out the AI, like, ever. Unless it's a traitor or malfunctioning, in which case you use thermite and bombs and lasers set to lethal to destroy the turrets.

Also, if an AI ignores their laws you should adminhelp it.

Nobody seemed to care that Dave Hamming was dragged to medbay twice with critical wounds. When the third barfight started, my stungloves were out of power so I joined the fight with a bottle. The detective waves his gun around, but does nothing. I'm walking out the door of the Falcon as a flashbang explodes in my face...

If you use traitor or One human law and they get you killed on purpose, then they shouldn't play AI again.
Giving the AI a lot of specific orders 'should' also help controlling the AI.

I was an engineer, and I thought you were a traitor (ooc).
What did I ever do that was so suspicious?
....I really could do with an angelic looking smilie right now!
Actually, at first I thought you were just paranoid, and later AFK or dead, but then after I asked "is the CE still here" and you said yes, I got suspicious because I had only seen you in Maintenance since your office was first set up, and you had taken your suit and the blueprints.  Also, whoever ran around hacking did a very good job of it, and I found weird stuff out in some of the solars.  I had no reason to IC though, so I just acted like you were very paranoid and kind of uninvolved.

Fun round, spent almost the whole time chilling in the bar with my buds, most fun I've had (in-game) while not doing anything at all.

Until the Warden broke in with flashbangs because someone told him there was a riot...

In your defense, there had been several 4 person brawls in the bar and hallway outside.  It just happened that you flashbanged us when we were all sitting around recounting what happened.

I spent most of that round repairing doors with half the wires cut, hacked, AI control turned off. And everytime I got there they'd already messed up the doors and fled, never saw anyone in the access tunnels though, so I thought it was an engineer running around doing it >: and then we saw, I think the CMO running out of the CE's office. So I will thank the person who ran around and did that, I learned how to fix hacked doors and air alarms *really* quickly because of you messing with the station.

Whoever tried to assasinate me via bulb, grats. Quite amusing and creative.

Let me guess: plasma injected into lightbulb? Never seen it used, but it's hardly a new invention. Now, if this was something else, I am impressed.

Can you make acid foam in a lightbulb? That'd be a fun thing to give people.

Yeah, permaban him please. I don't think he's going to change his ways and is just ruining rounds for people.

Does Foam actually work at spreading chems around? I always use Smoke for that.

Just so everyone knows: I'll be fighting to the bitter end with Oswald when he's the captain on a rev round. Three knives in the back is enough :P

E: Also, hopefully Tycho is the AI.
