Why do I remember hearing about this years and years ago? I thought discovering life under the ice sheets was like a major driver of the cold-earth theory of evolution. I distinctly remember a lot of arguing over having found an under-ice lake that was likely teaming with life, since all previous smaller finds had been, and not wanting to drill into it because they didn't want to contaminate it yet if so - is this that same lake, then?
