There is no real, actual place to take England's role in that scenario. Unless you to into hypothetical alternate timelines where the Kalmar Union never fell apart or futures where the EU is the US of E (Denmark, Norway or Finland is likelier to have Sweden at England's place as the assholes ). But just because it can't happen the same way doesn't mean I can't imagine hoe it would make me feel.

The Telegrah's headline essentially says "Families blame Russian gangsters", which is very different from "Russians did it". Similarly the Independent's headline says "Fingers point at Putin", which just says that people are blaming Putin, nothing more.
The tabloids are being tabloids, but that is to be expected.

Pretty much. I'd use it as toilet paper but that's about it. Right wing, Conservative, pro-NATO, pro-Britain, anti-EU, anti-USA, anti-Russia to the core. Sometimes hysterical; most of their journalists and columnists are fruit loops. Probably the most Unionist broadsheet newspaper.

The Express is a tabloid, so is the Mail and the Sun.
