Don't worry, shadenight. The timeline was Masturbation -> Court Case -> Equittal (-> Probable Precedent I guess), not Government Legalises Masturbation in Law -> Swedes Celebrates with Massive Public Masturbation Orgies -> Court Case ;)

So do you think announcing a desire to legalize public sex acts would hurt or help the Social Democrats?

Maybe fitting, maybe not Current German Government Elections Prognosis right now:

CDU (Christian Democrat Party /Conservatives,Liberals): 42,5%

SPD (Social-Democrat Party/Socialdemocrats, Liberals): 25,7%

Die Grünen (The Greens/ Liberal,Ecologists,Socialist, Socialdemocratic): 8,1%

FDP (Free Democratic Party/ Liberal): 4,5%

Die Linke (The Left/ Socialist): 8,5%

AfD (Alternative for Germany/ Rightwing Conservative,Liberal): 4,9%

Piraten (Pirate Party/ Liberal?): 2%

Freie Wähler (Free Voters/ Rightwing Conservative, Liberal): 1%

NPD (Nationalist Party of Germany/ National Socialist): 1%

For those not aquainted with German Politics, a Party needs 5% to enter into the German Government (the Bundestag). It is common that German Parties form Coalitions to form over 50% of the Bundestag and reign country.

The usual Constellation Reigning in Germany is CDU/FDP or SPD/Greens and very seldomly SPD/CDU. Interesting is this years Newcomer the AfD which on the First try is already at 4,9% and gaining. They are of special interest since their appearance will propably cost the FDP its place in the Bundestag and turn the whole Coalition system upside down.

...Do you mean the Germans? Because there are Social Democrat parties all over Europe.

I was speaking specifically of Sveriges Socialdemokratiska Arbetareparti.

Did you follow the antics of the German Pirate Party? They failed to professionalize themselves when they had the chance in order to turn themselves into a functioning, reliable and working party.

Heh indeed. Still they got their followers. Now if they manage to stop bickering and actually do stuff properly they might manage to accomplish something.

Is there such a thing though as a sex offender's register that you would have to sign though?

I once pissed out of an SUV in a car park in Florida onto the tarmac. That is as far as my experiences/skills in that field have gone.

Erm... yes. Right, back to this... yes... politics and so on.

Well that hardly counts if you were in Florida.

I've heard absolutely nothing about their antics and less about Belgium. Perchance your tutting lips might find my novice ear?

Owlbread, I'd pay attention to who you're demonstrating with regarding Flemish independence. The Flemish nationalists tend to be more right-wing than the Scottish, and their complaints less justified (I mean, they are a majority within Belgium. And nowadays the closest thing to oppression is a French speaker asking for his croissants in French north of the linguistic border.)
