Turn 41:

Site:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
You tell everyone to get to work.

A hunting party and the Yolc head south to hunt and fill the barrel with water.

You get some of the goblins to go on a scouting mission to the east. One of the goblins takes the knife.

You and Monty talk to the trappers before they leave. You begin by asking them about the Ashen Forest. They haven't heard about anywhere called the Ashen forest but they think you might be talking about Blackwood. Blackwood is a patch of forest containing ash trees, they look like they are covered in a layer of ash and have thick heavy wood. They say that there is a giant ash tree in Blackwood which has a life temple built around it. You could walk to the temple in about 7 turns.

A Map and more information has been added to the Information post.

You also get them to buy some more of the Browt skins. They have run out of money though so they only buy another three skins.

It looks like some more migrants have arrived. Among them is a goblin mason (with a beard you suspect is fake). There is also a goblin who used to be a guard until he came here. He has training in both swords and spears and brought one of each.

Start carving wooden spears.  Have guard goblin train hunters in their usage.

Have goblin guard train avatar in Spear and Sword usage, as well as general fighting.

Well, now we have too many people to feed them by scavenging. Begin the construction of a farm.

What can we do with the Mason?

EDIT: VERY IMPORTANT SHIT: THE HATS HAVE SCAPED

Send the former guard to Blackwood with the Fell Axe and his sword, and have him cut down the tree.

Yes, let the goblins explore it first.

I'm going to propose something, what about if each group of workers (doesn't matter the task) has at least one human? That way, we are sure that there will always be an intelligent being with them.

If you support this, then, we should send the human gathering berries with the goblins heading east.

-We and Monty: quickly say goodbye to the trappers and GO AND GET THE FUCKING HATS.
-New unspecialized goblin: teach him how to use a smelter and make him melt metal.
-Mason: make bolcks/figure a way to biuld stuff with the stones we have.
-Guard: think about how this settlement can be fortified.
-Yolc (when he arrives): make farm.
-Shaman and assistant: WHY ON EARTH AREN'T YOU GATHERING ROTTING STUFF???

Caps lock is even funnier than bolding.

Just noticed that those possible-tusked-ridgebacks didn't ever get named officially.

Since the old naming debate hit a standstill, I will propose a new name: Tusked Brown Drakes.

Also, I support a plan to send people to that Tree of Life. An armed party.

I don't support an armed party, just an exploration one. We're too few, even a mungo ambush could obliterat our camp as we are now.

Think.

We follow a God of Death.
That tree is surrounded by a village worshipping a God of Life.
There's going to be danger.

And I don't propose sending all our weapons, silly.
