Consider this: Gregor and Derick have a duel with same quality weapons (Iron, for example) and in neutral conditions (no terrain, supports and so on). On whom you would bet?

Derick the Swordmaster of Doom
Gregor the Tanky Stab-Sentinel

Our group does tend to at least try diplomacy. I'm sure that the other party would at least hear us out.

Someone might be forced to restrain the lordling though.

True, we've always at least tried. In most situations. There was a few we didn't though.

My official, quotable opinion about the situation is that I want that which would lead to the most fun amongst the groups. If that be PvP, then so be it, if that not be PvP, then so be it. If that be PvP that leads into a tea party, then so be it.

If that be PvP that leads into a tea party, then so be it.

Gregor would have to hand out extra monocles. And we'd need to acquire tophats.

...Frack, I need a monocle'd, top hat wearing Valor now.

Man really guys? Really this attitude? I'd just attempt to organize a tea party between both sides. Like for real. We could sit out for 10 combat rounds except for some archer plinking Alex for 1 damage/turn. All to troll Haspen. It would be delicious.
Except then he'd probably force it somehow.

Cue me asserting that there is only one true way to settle this and challenging everyone to a card duel.

Also why have I been summoned. Is it the poll? I don't see anything except the poll.

@IronyOwl:

Because yu were with Tantallos' group, you can grab a weapon from ranks E to C that's not Unique-named, plus restorative item that's not Elixir.

And - silly people, there won't be any crossover interaction besides maybe some plot sayings and just few NPCs popping in both threads. No PvP because I'm not insane enough to organize that.

Hey Haspen, I'm looking through the fire spells just now and a thought occurred to me:

Are we ever going to fight any monsters or undead in this campaign?

Regarding PvP:

I think it could be fun, but in a game like this when we put so much time and effort into our characters it would have to be handled very carefully. Like using nonlethal combat, or having the healer on the losing team surrender so they can restore their team later, or even the two sides meeting in a dream. Something which would allow both sides to continue their separate stories.

Awww dammit. I'll have to focus on specific spells then... A shame you didn't offer to let me start with Gotoh. I REALLY want to get my hands on that one, just so I can mess up any wyvern and pegasus riders...
