Consider this: Gregor and Derick have a duel with same quality weapons (Iron, for example) and in neutral conditions (no terrain, supports and so on). On whom you would bet?

Derick the Swordmaster of Doom
Gregor the Tanky Stab-Sentinel

Maybe everyone in the world comes to the same conclusion we did and wind up awakening something nasty.
"...what legions of darkness? I just wanted to show everyone how fancy a noble I was with this pretty rock."

I believe that for some nobles, this logic is perfectly OK to follow.

They're nobles, after all. Not everyone is a knight in shining armor, aka bastion of virtues :P

This right here? This is the reason Valor is not showing any sign of surprise. Nobles are petty, petty people, with pointless wants and desires. And lots of money.

Something Olison was just about to ask before Charlotte interrupted.

And what he's going to ask if nothing climactic happens in Priximia's next response.

Well, technically they wanted to stop her from doing something, going by chapter 4. What, I have no idea. "Don't eat that last scone?"

'Noble stuff' is all the answer we need until Haspen has Prixima nuke the country side, since we have no reason to suspect her beyond 'But she's a bitch!'. Vagor or someone else probably spun Rosecross some tale about Prixima to get him to betray, while he thought what he was doing was right and good.

Sucks to be him, decaying and whatnot.

Chris uses flirt! It's not very effective...

EDIT: Also Prixima now likes Chris too. Quite the ladies' man, that one.
