Consider this: Gregor and Derick have a duel with same quality weapons (Iron, for example) and in neutral conditions (no terrain, supports and so on). On whom you would bet?

Derick the Swordmaster of Doom
Gregor the Tanky Stab-Sentinel

I'm not even sure- Was Seyena a Merc? I was sure she also worked in Kesselring.

Ah, yes. I originally did imply she worked directly with Kesselring, but someone was asking about who was part of Kesselring's garrison, someone else said something along the lines of "Olison and Gregor".

I wasn't there in time to refute that, (At least 2-3 pages late,) so I assumed that everyone else assumed Seyena was just a mercenary.

Plus, there was another reason I sort of shifted her to random mercenary status, but I can't remember why.

He's currently muttering insults at them under his breath (that's his anger sprite)- I was going to have him curse the Berebians out but I don't cure myself.
But anyway, he's going to fully flip out on them next turn.
He does not like Berebians.

It would indeed be hilarious. However, Seyena wouldn't be sticking around to provide bonuses (she'd have to get backup) and Valor would be useless against the knight (13 AT vs 13 DEF, not to mention weapon disadvantage). Sorry :P

And again, it all depends on whether Haspen even allows this plan of action.

I think Valor would busy himself with the ballistae rider rather than try to fight the knight, but this all hells of risky, so I understand any trepidation. I wish I wasn't doing this from my smartphone so I could crunch some numbers.

Wonder how he'll take learning where Salvatore and Olison are from.

Valor could attack the ballista user, but the knight isn't just gonna sit by and let that happen :P

Let's see...Valor could land two guaranteed hits on the Ballista user for 4 damage each. No chance of crits, sadly; Archer has a DG of 6 while Valor's Crit is only 4.

The knight would have a 74% chance to hit Valor for 15 damage. Valor would counter twice, but deal no damage whatsoever.

The mage would have a 76% chance to hit Valor for, again, 15 damage. If it were stupid enough to attack at melee range, Valor could double it, with a 93% chance to deal 9 damage each time. Of course, the mage has a massive 16 Crit, which is ridiculously dangerous.

I also wonder that. It'll be... interesting, to say the least.

How interesting, just a general "I don't like you very much" interesting, or a "Alexander tries to poke holes in Olison" interesting?

They're his allies, so there won't be violence involved.
Mostly, Alexander will have to rethink some things.

Could be bad, considering Salvatore is the type of person who gives blunt, honest answers, and has a rather obvious accent that he doesn't bother to hide, I don't think it will take long.

"Truth buddies!"

More seriously, though, I have been taking pains to make sure Chris hasn't said anything he knows to be false. He might be wrong at times, but he always tells the truth as he knows it.

Alexander isn't much of a liar either, since he doesn't have the right mindset for good deception.

Seyena's a great liar when it comes down to it.

Just for fun (and because I'm bored out of my skull), have Olison's and Gregor's odds at not horribly dying!

Olison - Assuming he's using an Iron Lance for damage and accuracy
versus Ballista:
Olison has a 94% chance to hit twice, dealing 8 damage each time.

versus Knight:
Olison has a 93% chance to hit twice, dealing 4 damage each time. The Knight has a 57% chance to hit, dealing 12 damage.

versus Mage:
Olison has a 83% chance to hit twice, dealing 13 damage each time (enough to kill). The mage has a 74% chance to hit, dealing 16 damage.

Gregor - Again, assuming Iron Lance for accuracy and damage.
versus Ballista:
Gregor has a 98% chance of hitting twice, dealing 10 damage each time.

versus Knight:
Gregor has a 97% chance of hitting twice, dealing 6 damage each time. The knight has a 60% chance to hit, dealing 10 damage (reduced to 8 if personal skill activates).

versus Mage:
Gregor has an 87% chance of hitting twice, dealing 15 damage each time (enough to kill). The mage has a 77% chance to hit, dealing 16 damage.

You do realize that it's the inner part of the fortifications so even before Seyena gets to the ballista on the battle map, she will have to pass several other ballistas, not to mention archers on teh walls?

Yeah, there's that :P
