Consider this: Gregor and Derick have a duel with same quality weapons (Iron, for example) and in neutral conditions (no terrain, supports and so on). On whom you would bet?

Derick the Swordmaster of Doom
Gregor the Tanky Stab-Sentinel

ICly it made sense, but OOCly it was basically the worst possible decision.
Yeah, I guess. Still, if Charlotte just so happens (totally IC, of course) to feel like she needs to go back, listen to that feeling! It's classic hero(ine) intuition!

Well... Furtuka at least actually went exactly where I wanted him to in my plans. XD If you get where I think you want to go (between the single wall tile and the long wall below it) then you'll be in a good position too. After that we just need Riven and Tantallos to choose who they're going to back up.

Well, its still not a total wash. Its up to SC and Chris' might crossbow to save the day by doing effective damage against the fliers! 'Cause none of y'all have any lightning or wind magic.

This level actually does not concern me too much- it's a select few units which I have cause to fear.

He is the hero. Did you forget about that image? No matter the situation, he will have a branch and a marshmallow on his hands.

Now to figure out if the other group should play catch-up or try to attack from the other side. Maybe we can take out the ballista before it does too much damage, depending on where we show up >_>

Well specifically I was referencing this in a not-so-subtle attempt to bait FFS into making a sbahj comic about Chris, but I guess the cat's out of the bag now. XD

If you guys had a flier who arrows weren't effective against, taking out the ballista wouldn't be that hard. Avoiding the mage and the knight to follow however, that would be much harder. For the other group, they'd have to track up to the ballista to try and take it out for you guys to cross safely. By then, half of them would be dead by my wager, what with the forces in between.

A mad dash to the grate might work, or taking the secret tunnel seems the best options to be honest. I don't see how half the team can beat this map without help from the other half.

My view on this whole fubar'ed situation.

Edit: Oh god its happened, I turned to the gloom and doom

The ballista can't hurt me as long as I'm close enough to the others.
If I'm not, it can do two damage to me.
bwahaha.

But if Haspen allows, Seyena could bring a person up to the ballista to disable it, and keep bringing a person there every turn afterwords. Of course, ICly, she would NOT be up for it...

But then again, there's a mage and knight up there too.
