Our first session is at an end. Well, it took a long time to... do anything but this was our first session and we were mostly newbies anyway. It was fun.

Taking a 5 foot step is a swift action that incurs no attack of opportunity.  5-step back, heal, and move back into position.  May also be a good chance to Channel Positive Energy or whatnot, I forget what all clerics can do.

I am most definately taking trample for my 6th level feat.

Ride-by-attack will be less restricted by enemy positions then. I can just charge in, and continue the charge regardless of goblins, dealing 2d4 hooves damage to all goblins who choose not to / can't move away.

Edit: or I could take spirited charge and wreck havock with x3 lance charge. My current damage roll for lance is 1d8, so that makes it 3d8+(3*strength). The average result of a 1d8 dice is 4.5, meaning the base damage is 13, throw in the strength bonus, and voila, 22 average damage.

Edit: or I could take something more mundane, and take leadership, and take a Dragoon as my cohort. With a tactician ability cavalry formation, *cough* DOUBLE *cough* lance charge with me and my cohort sharing the same space would be... destructive.

I'm trying to decide about what should I take for totem. Dragon or Beast? If I take the Beast route I'll get 2 claw attacks which I won't use since I got my flail anyway. Most people recommend Beast but if I pick Dragon, I can FLY at 10th level, among other goodies.
