I kinda like Biden - would love to see him kick the everliving shit out of some GOP suit. Goofyness might be a winning ticket.

Arguably he's already a progressive, just one in the style of an enlightened Kaiser.
I'm going to do the smart thing here and disengage. This isn't a hill I paticularly care to die on.

For the record, Angry Biden is a rare but terrifying beast.

So has anyone heard about Susanne Atanus? She's this nutjob who thinks its cold because God is angry about gays and has no understanding of the concept of inflation. Oh, and she's RUNNING FOR CONGRESS

Here she is on my local radio show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwkW1MCoSoo&list=UUFhXxKJaEweQLwfNGkgMIdw&feature=c4-overview

After awhile Rover (the interviewer) just says "uhuh" after EVERY WORD SHE SAYS, AND SHE DOESN'T NOTICE.

God damnit Utah and Kansas, what the hell are you doing protecting shitty monopolies?
The worst part isn't that they're pushing the bills; any member can propose a bill regardless of popular support.  The worst part is that the legislator sponsoring the bill was apparently really cheap to buy - I mean, a $250 donation from CenturyLink?  If you're going to go for graft, at least have the courage to hold out for a couple grand, at least.

And to think, all that posturing got him nowhere. Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell trails democratic opponent in Kentucky. He is apparently less popular then Obama there; which is just, so impressive.

I'm worried now because I agree with some of Susan Atanus' policies, raising the minimum wage, cutting defense spending, pulling troops out of the middle-east.

Can't see her gaining much traction in the election. When asked to talk about herself all we found out is that she's a 55 year old possible virgin who possibly lives with her parents and has never had a career. It's like voting for a basement-dweller.

And this from an interview:

Quote
3. Do you favor President Obama's planned 2014 military withdrawal from Afghanistan? Why or why not?

I favor it along with the people of this country and all people to obtain excellent and consistent returns on their investments, and this is possible without "market" influence so that they have income and will not attack the U. S. or any other places again. With more income, they and all countries will purchase more goods and services, and this will create more jobs. Also, with more income, countries can deliver services and lower tax rates.

I did a literal double-take on reading that - at first I was WTF? about why she's talking about share returns when asked about Afghanistan. Then I realized she's saying share ownership by Afghani's is her answer to regional instability. Where exactly the Afghanis are going to get the capital to invest, and exactly what viable public corporations they CAN invest in escapes me.

Absolutely this. Biden is actually a pretty solid candidate, especially in this weather. He can get stuff done, and apparently do so while being the 'aw shucks' sorta guy who seems the exact opposite of a well-rehearsed political fat-cat. I mean, look at the sentiment right now. The Republican base are uber anti-establishment right now. And thanks to Snowden, so are most of the independents and democratic base. This is precisely the kind of environment in which you want a Biden or a Rand Paul as your candidate, and in which you want to get as far away from Clintons, Romneys and Gingritches as you can.

Time to swoop in. Kentucky actually has a majority of Dem-registered voters, but we've got a history of electing Republican congressmen (and are also generally opposed to Obama) because of coal interests; it's a major employer here, and leftist candidates almost invariably are seen as opposed to it. With that said, this electoral cycle is honestly sort of surprising; we've been echoing "ditch Mitch" for years but it still shocks me that we're going to have a realistic shot of getting the chinless old bastard out of office within my lifetime. That wasn't a typo, by the by; I half-expected him to achieve lichdom. One of the key points here is that, if I'm recalling correctly Grimes is specifically going out of her way to be pro-coal, which is a major point in her favor.

Well as the saying goes, even a broken clock can be right twice a day.
Same applies to ugly retarded people who spent their lives holed up in a basement hitting their head against a wall and telling said wall its stock options.

But yeah, the way she talks makes me wonder if she LITERALLY has down syndrome, and someone has coached her on things to say.

Beck, Beck what are you doing. Beck stahp.
Hm. If technology is authoritarian porn, and Glenn Beck uses technology all the time to talk about it, doesn't that make him an authoritarian wanker?
