And that's it! But don't worry, this just raises the debt ceiling until February, so we'll get another crisis then.

What's bizarre about this is that everyone came out of this with egg on their face, but somehow, nobody did. Ted Cruz has proven his conservative cred. John Boehner has gotten through the process without fear of a coup. The Tea Party aren't raising a ruckus. We'll see what happens to the GOP's moderates.
Indeed. Blame for everyone is just like no blame at all! It'll be heartwarming to come back here in mid-January and see that absolutely nothing has changed. All those old familiar faces.

Same thing happened in January except without all the hassle.

For what it's worth, this has become the fifth time B-person has spat on the Hastert (and gods, do I keep wanting to spell that Hastur) rule.

The title has been duly edited, even. I could just revert to "Election Boogaloo," and indeed did for a few minutes there, but why not vary the bad puns?

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

On the lighter side of things, our entire country will now be suffering the Wrath of God.

It would be interesting to see what happens if he doesn't. Not necessarily good, but interesting.

Bipartisan lynching session?
Given that he has essentially gotten everything he wanted, and was pushing the entire time for "no negotiation"? Obama would probably be impeached, but in between then and now, the sheer schadenfreude coming out of the White House would be enough to melt iron, and the massive concentration of trolling would make deposits of trolldom begin to physically coalesce on the White House lawn. He might actually ascend to Heaven as the Avatar of Trolling, pretty close to Stephen Colbert's guess of him being a Trickster God.

BREAKING: Office of Management and Budget has told Federal workers to prepare to return to work on Thursday, meaning Obama will sign tonight.

Of course, Obama actually being in a position to destroy America and not doing it will do nothing to stop those who insist he is trying to destroy America.

No no, by signing it, he IS destroying America. Defaulting is America's salvation.

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.
