Thinking outside the box and making a good YGO deck aren't compatible anymore, sadly. Nobody plays anything but Fire Fists and Mermails.

I've faced against plenty of decks on ygopro and duelnetwork that were neither of those

Yeah me too, I just won a duel in YGOPRO, I had 1350 and the other guy had 8000, I still won.

Is that so? I was sort of exaggerating, there are still people who play other stuff, but I rarely see decks that're purely played because they're cool. Dark Worlds, Six Samurais, rabbit variants etc are still used quite a lot even though they went out of flavor with the last ban list.

I've only seen Six Samurai once, maybe you're just out of luck.

I also won against the AI pretty easy because I had tour guide of the underworld, when I have it I know I'm going to win.

Six Samurai used to be ridiculously powerful, but their key searching cards got limited to one each which meant that they became unreliable.  I think Smoke Signal went back to two a while ago which makes them kindof viable again (apart from the fact that all the new decks are way stronger).

Is anyone else interested in starting a tournament in YGOPRO? Winner gets nothing, just for fun.

EDIT: Alright well, I'm going to start a tournament, if you want to join just say you want to join.

We need 10 before we can start, so far we have 2, Kansa and Alkhemia.

EDIT: I'm getting pretty good, I just won again.

Oh man, as I'm sure anyone's found out I am a HUGE card game nerd. But Yugioh and Magic especially.
I have YGO pro and Duelingnetwork and am always down to play on either~

I don't have any decks on Dev Pro yet though. I got it like, months ago and decided the first deck I'd make would the deck I'm most known for. And asking my friends what they thought, the first option was completely ruined by a banlist, and the second was 'I dunno you just kinda use everything'
Jack of all trades, master of none is suffering.

/blog
I'm down for playing anyone, tourney or not.

This is confusing.

Duel Monsters is the name of the card game in the show and manga.

No, the original Yu-Gi-Oh show was called Duel Monsters.

EDIT: Anyone want to play me?
