ROLL TO STRIFE
A Homestuck Inspired Roll to Dodge

You and your five friends have all been anxiously awaiting the arrival of your beta copies of the game SBURB. They’ve finally shown up, and you are excitedly waiting for it to install so you can see if all the good reviews have been truthful. You client program launches, and you wait for your partner to connect...

WELCOME to ROLL to STRIFE! This is a ROLL to DODGE based on HOMESTUCK, as one could probably GUESS. The GOAL of this GAME is but a SIMPLE one.

SURVIVE!

So, really, we’ll just assume you know what you’re doing here. Actions must be posted within 24 hours of the last turn, and, once in the Medium, posts should include one or more actions as a server player, and one or two actions on your own. You also have PesterChum at your disposal, which can help a lot! Good luck, and let us begin!

Character Setup
Note: Waitlists do not exist in the RtD. When a player dies, we will NOT fill the slot. We are collecting character sheets for a possible restart when this game ends, whether by success, or failure.

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

((Would it be alright if we actually used pesterchum, if we had it and could transfer the logs, in addition to the normal system?))

[[Can we keep this kinda stuff in the OOC thread please? Also, about your question, I'd rather you just keep it in the forum. Thanks!]]

Kate: >Install that game.
... You pop the game into your disc drive, and the loading screen pops up on your laptop's screen. The spirograph makes you a bit dizzy, but within a minute, you are ready to run both the Server and Client programs! Now to wait for the others...

Madison: >Fondly regard surroundings. Get some bearings of where you're at.
...  You begin licking the wa-NO, NO! TOO FOND! TOO FOND!
*Ahem* You look around. You seem to be in your bedroom. You stare at the Lebron James poster hanging over the headboard of your racecar bed. Your brother got you that for your fourth birthday, and just kept adjusting it to fit you as you grew. Now it's about five feet long, and still red as ever. You flop down on top of it, and regard your surroundings further. On the far wall, you see your mahogany trophy case. it's filled with medals and first place trophies. All of which you made yourself. And all of which you thoroughly deserved. In the corner, you spy your brand new computer. You walk over to it and flick it on.
Or, you would if your incredibly complex touch-screen phone wasn't plugged into it and sapping all of its power. Oh well, that can wait until later. You get all of your power from thousands of miles away, through incredibly long and thick cables underground. You get your internet connection from the large tower overlooking the entire compound. Sometimes a couple wires come loose, but your brother usually just climbs up and welds it back together. He's cool like that. If only it weren't for those disgusting human organs he keeps everywhere. He says it's for studying, but you think he's not telling you something. Eh, you guess it's just his 'thing'. You notice the only other thing in your room, your closet. It's where you keep all of your sports equipment. You decide against opening it, for fear of a ball avalanche. You go back to your bed after unplugging your phone and syncing it to your watch. Your brother's great with electronics, and made it so that the watch has a holographic interface. It makes it much easier to use while jogging. You lay back, and wonder what to do next.

Rodion: >Retrieve arms from chest Try to make sense of where I am and what I'm doing here. Look around for any significant objects.
... UGH. FUCK you're tired. You wearily open your eyes. You guess you're in your bed-igloo, based on the warm feeling underneath you. Either that, or you're laying on the dog again. You rub your eyes again, and look around a bit. It's a bit dark, but you think you can make out the Eraserhead poster on the far wall. You feel around for your Night Vision Goggles, and strap them on. Ah. Much better. But for now, you'll get a bit more rest. You'll explore your room after this nap.

Robby: > Introduce yourself.
... What? To who? Ellie took Ben to Daycare. You're all alone at this point. Hm...You have the whole house to yourself...what to do...?

James >Observe surroundings.
... You seem to be in your bedroom. And that's your bed. And that's your laptop on the floor. And that's your face on the floor. Ow.

Castor: >Sit down at the computer and begin to instal the game.
You'd just love to install Sburb. And you would. If only you could find your damn computer...

>Rodion: Don't give in to the napping impulse! Get the hell up and examine the goddamn room right the fuck now. This is prime-time. People are online. You must get up, find your shitty-ass computer with its shitty-ass satellite Internet and chat with the bastards or install some shit game to hold off your advancing mental instability, elsewise you'll flip the fuck out one day and your life will become exactly like John or Jack or whatever the fuck his name was Nance's in Eraserhead! And do you want that to happen? Do you want to watch inexplicable guts fall on puffy-cheeked girls while the catchiest song you ever heard plays in the background? Do you? DO YOU?

Madison: >Take phone. Look for copy of SBURB in mailbox (but secretly make a bet with yourself your brother probably already has it, if it even came in the mail today). Also investigate room for things to weaponize should venturing into the basement prove necessary. There are... THINGS... down there. Other than Bro, that is.
