I'd rather keep the compass just in case but yeah, disenchant away.

Edit: You're probably right about the compass not really useful in game, but in real life I have a paranoia about getting lost which is undoubtedly transferring over into this game for me.
If we have a map of everywhere, we probably don't need a compass.

Granted my memory has never been that great, but I'm pretty sure the GM only specified that it was a magic map, not how it was enchanted (what enchantment/effect/ability it has).

Alright thanks for the info, I totally missed that.  So yeah let's disenchant some stuff.

Lets see what kind of MageBucks(TM) that gauntlet is worth, and how that compares to the price of a volcano lair...

Sorry, for a moment there I forgot we were all psychopaths.
Someone who has random urges to make mog juice isn't exactly going to care about the cost effectiveness of obtaining it.

Remember, we'll also need something to kill heroes with as well.

Contact a psychiatrist.
...Damnit, that costs MageBucks too! ...More than the volcano base in fact. What kind of ripoff is this?! Oh, right. Most magic items are insane. Ah, the power of supply and demand...

Fortunately, Kickass doesn't seem to mind you disenchanting the compass for 100 MB, and the gauntlet for 1304ijff33R3E01010W1M01 4552524f52 4552524f52 4552524f52!

"Yo! Geez, wake up already! How are you supposed to tell me how awesome I am if you're broken!" Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. This idiot is bashing you against a rock, ow. He lets up as soon as you respond though, letting you get a good look around.
...Ok, three  things instantly stand out: 1. You're rather badly damaged, all kinds of cracks covering the large central gem that powers you. 2. You're in some kind of cave... A cave in which Kickass has apparently just finished caving a troll's skull in with his own skull. And 3? Your 'MageBucks' account is registered as 'NaN'.

Ponder the irony of your actions. Then, figure out what this dipshit has gotten you into. Ask him what happened back at the shop, and see if you can divine his inventory.

Suck out his life force to heal us.  Also does that mean that the gauntlet is really valuable or that for some reason we can't sell it.

It means we got mashed against the rock.

Wait, he ripped out his own skull to beat the troll to death with?

So how many magebucks did we get?
And how does this cave look as a starter evil lair?

No, he ripped out the troll's skull, ripped out his own skull, then smashed the troll's skull with his skull, then put his skull back inside himself and put the mashed troll skull back into the troll's body.

It would be kinda funny if he confused the skulls.

There would be no noticeable difference.
