Probably spam.  I get weird stuff like that all the time.

Some of my favorites are all the MMO's that I'm apparently selling my account and am in trouble for.   :D

It only takes once - one visit to a website (even by accident) to make it come on bye.  I phish myself (much to my amusement).

I remember that game. If you didn't sign up, just ignore it and you should be fine.

Though now you can get his password if you ever want to.  :P

Someone signed up an account under my email once. I did abuse his password :)

One of my throwaway email accounts is often used by other people who don't want to use a real email address when signing up for stuff.  I get confirmation links for all kinds of shady stuff.  I just ignore them, or chuckle at the sites people are signing up for.  That's what the email account is for after all.

Do you leave yourself messages saying “My husband died leaving me a fortune I need someone I can trust...”? Do you ever fall for it?

This is not spam mail. Someone signed up for an Adventure Quest account using your email address and they sent you an email to confirm it.

Adventure Quest is one of those online browser games that, like Runescape, Gaia Online or Maple Story, has an overwhelmingly tweenage population. So, if you know any 12-year-old kids that have access to your email address, that's probably who it is.

Or it could be spam.

Or it could be spam.

If you actually read the email, you would know it's not spam.

Thsts the thing, nobody has access to my account. Therefore it's either some odd typo, or stealth spam recruiting (eg mailing people massively account activatiom links----). Or a haxk, but thwt seems dubious niw

If the confirmation link starts with www.battleon.com, it's not any sort of phishing attempt. What was the sender's address?
