You walk with Miyu-chan to the main school building, chatting amiably about nothing. You decide to not mention your nightmare.
Your first period is chemistry. The class is taught by the general Science Teacher, Mr. Mutou. You hate this class. The only two people there who you can speak to aren't your cup of tea. The deaf girl is hyper-competitive, not to mention sesquipaedlian (or whatever she said), and you're not very good with Sign Language yet.
Her translator's been helping you, which is nice. She'd be a nice friend if her voice didn't grate against your ears. You don't know what's wrong with her, but
something is up with that girl. Normal people don't shout. Her laugh grates on you as well.
No-body else there can speak to you. Or at least, hold a conversation. You can listen and eavesdrop but you can't reply save with nods and shakes of the head.
You take a seat and grab a slip of paper. Today's lesson is all about valence electrons in the higher elements reacting with...

Class is over quickly. You were very quiet today (big surprise there!), but did answer one or two questions. Mutou treats you well enough.
The Deaf girl and her Translator are still there, as well as the new transfer student (who doesn't intrest you and doesn't know Sign anyway). There are a few other students too, a burn victim and a overweight gentleman with very bad cerebal palsy. As you watch a bit of spittle drips down his chin. You try to draw his attention to it but it only makes you sad as he struggles just to wipe his face. The poor boy.
You have a good half-hour before the next class, giving you time to wander. And after this it's an early lunch.
