Our new creation/Tallman/Jara creature is pretty excellent at scouting and probably assassination, so I suggest we think of things to scout for. Our main targets should probably be Maher and The Empire of Tranquility, with the Empire being more important to prepare for, in my opinion.

Let's name him Jim and not immediately treat him like he's just one of our tools.  He is our first sentient creation and I'd like to show him a little respect before we immediately try and get him to do stuff for us.

Tell him we were trying to create a new race to act as scouts and assassins for us but that we weren't expecting him to be born sentient.  Since he is though, we'd like him to live in our town and consider working for us.

Jara is his personal name, and Laskus should teach him the basics before we send him on any missions.

What kind of name is it?  I could ask the same about many of the others suggested, especially considering our god's name is Donut.  I don't think Jim is the most far fetched here and it's easy to remember so I'll be able to use it instead of just calling him "that stealthy guy."

Still I guess Jara isn't that bad, but I've stated my preference.

Here's the similarities, with some spoilers from the Hork-Bajir Chronicles:
Hork-Bajir are big, scary guys with blades on their arms (as well as elsewhere, but the other blades weren't mentioned much). They turned out to be peaceful bark-eaters created by the Arn.
Our new guy is a big, scary guy with bladed arms. He turns out to be a bark-eater created by Donut.
Similarities? Yes. Important? Possibly. Why else would he eat bark?

I suggested Tobuscus Jara in the main thread. But Siafu or Tobias are good names too. We will probably have more of his kind soon, so these names will be put to use one day or another I think.

Maybe we should just give him a name consisting almost entirely of consonants.  Just to add the to scary.
