Not neccesarily a phoenix, I hope. I hope to create a winged serpent of some kind.

Also, I wish to broker a peace between myself and Vanida. I would not have my children harmed by the squabblings of their parent. I will instruct them to cease their persecution of the Sisters, on the conditions that our respective followers leave each other in peace, and the return of my fire. I was not solely a being of Earth at my birth, and I would like to return that way.

The way I mean Phoenix, is: a flying creature that is technically immortal due to multiple rebirths and such. I am sorry for any confusion statement may have caused.

Ah. While flying may be unnecessary for what I have in mind, that is well.

"Wait, why would you give them wings if you didn't want them to fly?"[/shadpw]

I'm hovering between some type of fire breathing winged serpent or a smaller version of me.

"It would probably be unsporting to make a resurrecting Flitdrake and call it a day, huh? Ah well, I'll think of...aha. Plants!"

"Ah, but what of the weaker gods, like myself?"

The Crow God, Corvus, spoke up.

Actually, Corvus, I would ally with you. Your cult is as of yet small and weak. I can strengthen it, just so long as you swear not to attempt to corrupt my children.

"I would wish only to provide them with knowledge. I am a teacher first, a god second."

Corvus bows respectfully to Az-Sho, and the two crows that surround him perch on his shoulders.

"Anyway, if I were to corrupt any god's children, I would die quickly, as I am considerably the weakest of the undergods. Only knowledge and old men keep me alive."

Az-Sho inclines his head towards Corvus.

And you could be strong in a partnership. By corrupt, of course, I mean attempt to turn them entirely from me. If you agree to this alliance, my children will build you a temple in Riat, and you will be allowed to become more powerful. The Serpent and the Crow will hold Riat, and both will profit from this partnership. The only things that I ask are that your followers share any knowledge that could advance our shared prospects - metal forging, farming improvements, other things of mortal importance - to my children so they may make use of it. The second is, of course, do not sway my children entirely from me. I care little if they also venerate you as well, but they are my children and I would keep them under my guidance and protection.

Do we have an accord?

"We have an accord. Your children can stay yours for all I care, but if they choose to turn to me of their own free will, as most beings with free will are wont to do, I will neither support nor assist it, and you are free to do what you may to him or her.

Otherwise, the Crowblessed shall work in alliance with the Children of Az-Sho from this day forward."

Excellent. Expect your temple to be up in a few rotations around the sun.

"Thank you.

Now, on the matter of the Phoenix....I am unsure what creature could represent me that isn't a crow."

"A flying book? I am the knowledge god, not a clown god!"

Corvus laughed croakily.
