The map is 13 spaces wide

If you look at the weird colors on the wall on the left side, there are a series of horizontal lines spaced more or less evenly starting from the bottom.  Followed to the top, they divide the left wall into roughly 26 sections.

...start at an orange letter, decrement by <count> on next line if symbol is - or increment if +, add that letter to pool, unscramble? i.e. pool to unscramble = orange letters + letters found through this method

I feel like we're throwing darts at a dartboard, while blindfolded, and the room is pitch black, and we're not sure there's a dartboard over there much less that we're throwing in its general direction, and the things we're throwing may or may not be darts, and there's a crazy person yelling advice in our ears.  And we're on fire.

Well, we can turn on the teleporter, at least. Not sure how we'll use it from a distance, but that could be useful.

Check the menus of the transmitters, as well as the teleporter. Attempt to check the ground, as well.

There's that N we're looking for.

There's one option for each sibling in each row on those transmitters. Plus Oric. Assuming Target is a sibling.

Proxxy - Cain - Ecco - Floe - Ciro - Riltia - Oric
And then on the left there's an indicator.

1A Cain False
1B Proxxy True
2A Cain True
2B Proxxy False
3A Ciro True
3B Floe False
4A Oric False
4B Ecco False

My theory is that the correct combinations have to do with Shipping. I would guess:
1A Oric
2B Cain
3B Riltia
4A Ecco
4B Floe

Why does the warp pad say "Receiver"?
It was fairly implied that we could actually USE the warp pad, e.g. that it could SEND us, but then what does receiver mean?

First time we've seen Cain's Soul Star symbol, aye? Neat.

4B Ecco False

1A Oric
2B Cain
3B Riltia
4A Ecco
4B Floe

This (emphasis mine) is correct. Make it so!

So, the number they represent may be the sibling number? let's see:

Proxxy + Oric = 1+7=8?

Well, I don't know.
