stop trying to talk to al directly
ffs has made it clear that it's not going to work ffs.
Isn't 'repeated attempts to slowly wear down someone's psyche' the main method of how voices-in-your-head work? We have a plan- death by a thousand cuts. Or at least submission by a thousand whispers.

Way to make it sound like we're evil, we are not trying to mind control him, we're trying to establish a working relationship based on mutual trust and the murder of things that we both don't like, such as Wilson!

At best it's a pool of ink thats here for no reason; at worst it's a puddle of hateful alien death penises that want to murder-rape you into chunks.
So how are you today?

I vote that we do voice-battle, Evil vs. Loot! (because neither side is the Good side)

Al, though I don't expect you to listen to me, you should know that we aren't the same voices that were controlling Minus. Or at least, we don't think so. We don't have memories of any other Cycles, or at least not that we can freely access, and even then, the few flashbacks we've had may have been Ciro's instead.

Yeah, I mean I just got here. I still don't even know what on earth is going on.

You mean our death, because we will keep failing and ffs will apply insanity penalties so al becomes an enemy or something.

I doubt that will occur because it's conversation. If we're reasoning with Al instead of trying to Persuade him (capital P is important), we're not relying on rolls so much as his personality.

I'm just trying to convince people that trying to persuade Al is dumb, and not the silly "no way this could go wrong" dumb, just normal dumb.

Not really, we didn't push it into the void, just into DL3.
Also, the Void is in between the dungeon level
So it fell directly to DL3 without going through the intervening space?

It's not like a void pit
Key word being 'like'. And if it doesn't go anywhere, how does something we knock into it end up on DL3?
I think it is the void, just empty.
how does going through the mercenary council door take us to an area floating within void, without the door being connected to anything? The answer is the same.

+1 to wheel-spinning.

Regarding al: while we now know why he doesn't trust us-more or less-do we REALLY want to risk finding out what happens if he breaks free of what little control we still have before he meets up with the rest of the party? oh, some of you may be saying yes, but that's a pretty lame way to lose.

-1 to further attempts to get al to talk until we meet up with the rest of the party.

And his personality will make any attempt to persuade (small p) him only hate us more.

Almost anyone can be reasoned with, and the ones that can't be reasoned with can be manipulated. Besides, at this point I think what we really want is to find out why he doesn't trust us. At any rate:

+1 to wheel-spinning.
