... Imagine into existence a Prince Symbol to make the THING feel awkward.

Now that's the kind of confirmation I wanted.

Well, we are dead, unless that thing is pretty useless. Anyway, should we try to do shenanigans, or just fight to death? I don't really see any opportunities to win anyway, though

It hasn't actually done anything aggressive.

Aren't the OFF references enough? It is an overpowered and pointless fight over which we are going to die.

We are screwed. At least, that's the way it appears from here. But we could recover from this without combat or mindless fleeing.

Compliment the being on it's impressive form change. Ask it if it knows anything about <what Al needs to know about>.
Befriend it.

Should it not try to communicate back in a friendly manner, and initiate aggression instead, put on the mask and use the bartering ram. Don't hurt it in a fashion that completely debilitates it, instead compliment it on it's fighting prowess, turn this into a sparing match. Try to calm it down and be friendly with it even while fighting. Recast the Bulwark if it runs out, don't die.  If it continues to not cooperate, kill it.
If the creature should tell us what it knows, or even turns out to be capable of speech, ask it what it is and what it knows about this place. If it continues to cooperate, ask it about the wheel here, and about Oric, and about Proxxy.

Wait. The arrows on the border of the image mean we can move in those directions right? Head south.

We can't fly over the black voidy stuff. Which doesn't even have the glowing lines to tell us it's the usual voidy stuff.

Spin the wheel to rotate the platform, head the direction it isn't in.

Assuming FFS isn't screwing with us, which is a dangerous assumption.

Size in OFF doesn't really mean much, we don't even know how strong the beast is!

Comparably Oric has 50 HP, so the thing is presumably is under 50 HP. Meaning it's killable, as long as we can purify it.

WELL THEN

Spin the wheel! It's gotta be the only way out of here, and I'd like to have an avenue of retreat lined up in case our subsequent diplomacy check fails.

If I recall correctly, the secretaries generally had well over ten times as much health as the zone bosses. Don't be surprised if this thing turns out to be packing 150+ hp based on Proxxy's 15. E: Just checked the stats and turns out that was wrong. They just appear so often that it starts to feel like a single three-hour fight instead of a zillion five-minute fights.

Initiate tactical diplomacy.
