I wonder what a Dragon Age slime would look like.

No, but he'll probably become something. I'm pretty sure that his gimmick is transforming based on what he eats.
Based on what?
"A mushroom that made him giant turned Slog, a Dragon Age slime, into the Dragon Age's kind of giant slime. Therefore, he must have other awesome forms for whatever he transforms into."

Not that I disagree, (Seems more likely that FFS did it as a one-off joke, not that it would hurt to test. Maybe feed him an essence? Or an essence fused with food via a scroll?) but for the sake of argument, if Slog, by that logic, begame a DQ giant slime because he ate a giant-making mushroom, wouldn't that mean he'd just be restricted to various slime types from that game series? And, really, how many DQ slime variants could there be...?

Comically blood splattered and mildly grimdark.

After we feed Slog food, we should try feeding it non-food items.

This is disturbing on so many levels.

Dragon Quest*
Oh, whatever.

Slog was basically free (we gave him a mushroom, which we were later able to use independently of his decisions), why are you expecting him to be awesome?

I know from a previous incident I stumbled upon once that when you say Oh Whatever you mean it literally as in "That's irrelevant". But I would seriously suggest switching your vocabulary to something that conveys that more clearly in the future, because that choice of phrase comes off as really hostile, intentionally rude, and just pisses people off.

Or even better, just accept you were wrong and let it go without comment. Much more civilized.

Variable powers. Slog can become what we need him to become.

Do we need something with Ice Powers? Buy Slog Ice Cream. Do we need some more firepower? Let's see Slog eat a Habanero Pepper.

And laugh. Laugh at the pain of our enemies.

Well, our inventory will fill up with food pretty quickly if we try for true adaptability. If we want to use Slog's powers, we should consider buying the storage thing.

Doesn't stop us from buying food suited to the denizens of a particular floor, though.

The biggest drawback is that its limited to only a few turns, so whatever we do needs to be done fast. It would also be pretty resource heavy to keep it up consistently, which could be hindered if food doesn't stack. I do suggest we test this as it's quite an interesting idea, at the most it'll cost us a few rubies.

It could save us in a bad situation, and it never hurts to learn one's options.
