FFS has repeatedly said that pretty much all the elements were taken from somewhere else. Keep that in mind.

So? There's lots of potential parallels with video games that don't get used, and I haven't seen anything from Kingdom Hearts.

Alright. One arena battle, which we didn't even do and which has been stated to occur in a different universe, has involved a Kingdom Hearts thing.

Well, a few considerations.

1. I barely know anything about Kingdom Hearts.
2. How long has it been since we've been to the arena?
3. Context.

Yes. Especially when the aspect in question is one of the central, defining aspects of TWoOtA.
