Deploy Pillar-Sword as bridge over the flames!
There's no way this could ever go wrong, as usual.

And yeah, caught up to date once more.

AUGH NO

We are now caught betwixt our two loves; potential loot drops, and potential party members. WHY IS LIFE SO HARD

If we decide to explore further, we should do it via Windirection like we did before, but today I think we have to pass up potential phat lewtz in favor of talking to the imprisoned psychopath. I definitely want to talk to Cain, and I don't want to risk missing out on him. To that end, we should Convert the Floor Key and head to [6,3] and go Underwater and East, since I think that's where the Boss Room is.

Nothing we lose because of keys is actually lost forever. We'll be getting the wonderkey someday.

...when the loot is likely unremarkable and underwhelming.

Might as well chalk it up to Pathos.
As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

Can't spell BLOOT without LOOT. And whether it's level-apropriate or not by the time we get to it, we will be getting to it anyways, and... do we even have the key yet? I forget. I also don't know if we can morph it right now, because I can't remember if we found the transformer thing.

Hasn't the loot generally been worth it.

I think the Warrens prefers giving us decent loot as the trade off for an economy that hates us, really powerful monsters that don't like us, and a GM who loves seeing us cry.

I mean we've gotten stat points, a sword, a TM, a ring, the Polar Eye, Polaris' sword, etc. And exploration yields more than just normal loot. There's people loot, like Yaos. And notpeople loot like that robot we temporarily recruited. To be fair, we don't have many options. But more loot means more options.

Speaking of Yaos, I bet we were supposed to save him using those gems that the robot ran away with.

No, I'm pretty sure those blue gems were Mana recovery gems that Yaos was literally throwing away because he had no use for them.

basically, the yaos story taught us we can exchange soul into health and mana and possibly the other way around and none of you have taken advantage of this.

even in the sp-restoring pools of water.
