This shenanigan actually has some kind of sensible thought put in it. Still downvoting it, but I haven't actually seen a not-silly oriented suggestion for some time in this thread.

It was entirely non-serious, I can assure you. I wouldn't be particularly surprised if that might be a key point at some time though. Perhaps that's what Oric is after, a sort of OmniSoul as it were. But for now it's just a sort of mindless speculation.

Technically you could probably make a giant soul star if you were to collect enough Star Essences and Bindings.

Just keep shoving them together and feeding them Soul Charge until you get the OmniSoul

Hah, fair enough. They have been a touch odder than the usual fare lately. I think it would be more fun if we use this time to theorize about possible things than pitch actions that will never come to light though.

Perhaps we're in a sort of purgatory meant to 'clean' people free of their bindings and soul, those with stronger ties to them being able to hold onto it despite its severance from their mortal coil.

Maybe a play on the idea of the 'world soul' philosophy where each soul adds to a conglomerate of experiences and knowledge, which in turn leads to power. Oric might wish to make us his key to gain access to said 'world soul.'

Or create his own, possibly.
