Nah, they were always there. We saw them on the last spirit but figured them 'like druid's bulwark'. Seeing them on this thing however kinda shoots that down, so I go back to my original assumption that they're what binds the spirit.

EDIT: Interestingly enough, there was eight on the spirit previous but only six on this one. They didn't disappear as time went along so it's not duration, and they only vanished after the spirit defeated, slowly and one by one in a pattern.

I don't know why the previous had eight while this one has six, but it's probably something to note.

EDIT II: It might have some correspondence with party size. We had four back then, three now, each time double how many part members we have.

Ah, I didn't see the image without then, I was figuring you were meaning that you didn't notice them before either on it or the last spirit.

Either way, I'm of the opinion that if they're included its important. Chekhov's law and all that.

Since someone else got Void Paladin and my backup suggestion (Eldritch Astrologer) got split up and taken... I'd like to change my spirit class to Steampunk Gunslinger.

Also, I'm curious...

I can't think of an action more worthy of shenanigans than "RUN AWAAAY" with the exception of "put us in the line of fire between the dragon and the hellyfish, then dodge" so as to incur hellyfish wrath upon the dragon, so I'll refrain from an action this time around.

I still think emptying both our bottles, wearing them on our hands, and then doing precision intercepting to reflect the lasers back at the dragon like a boss would be a pretty good plan.

Then we could just snag a new fairy from the two floating around the room when we're done

Um...glass does nothing against lasers. Lasers are light. Light goes straight through glass.
