We learned our lesson about converting the keys too soon on the last floor.

And if anything is going to survive a flame trap, a Mettanium helmet is that thing.

(Roll: 11) Goom-bess slides over the trap, Met Hat underfoot, and feels the metal cap heat up to unbearable temperatures almost instantly. She hops off the trap along with the cap, neither destroyed.

Okay. The fire is hot, not magical. It also lasts as long as something's one the trap. Secondly, the helmet doesn't make for good isolation.

We do have an ice spell, but well, magic doesn't work and we're short on mana.

Trying the same thing again is a sign of insanity, so let's not try that again. How about we fill the helmet with water and splash that on the trap. Hope that that breaks it.

Both burn, and the trap is probably motion activated. Additionally, we have neither stick nor rope. We used to have a stick, but it burned.

As a last resort, we could dump the corpse on it. It's a jellyfish, so it's 90% water. Should take some time to burn through, while we get the loot. Also, ceremonial burning. We're doing the thing a favor.

IIRC, Levitate does use a roll.

I don't believe it motion activated because each times we specifically hit the floor inside of it. We have that ice stick if you want to test I suppose, just do a swipe in the air above the trap.
