This will certainly confuse anybody who doesn't know about transparent text.

Until now, I was unaware that Transparent was available; I used beige instead, which is visible if somebody uses Darkling.

I used white on the forum games section, because of the different background, but you could still see it. But I use Darkling now, so it's moot.

I found that white was slightly more visible every other post, whereas beige was pretty much fine.

It works perfectly well on my non-Darkling theme. And you can just highlight the text, you know.

1. Pink =/= Girly. Lots of non-girly things are pink. Various kinds of sandstone, slightly bloody water, Caucasians...
2. The joke was on you not being able to tell.

Pink was once considered a strong masculine color, where cool colors like blue were more feminine. Pink was kind of "claimed" by feminists, and since it's been considered feminine in western culture.
