by the way... Vi could also be VI, which is roman numbers for 6. Sixth cycle, maybe. Rex seems more likely to be Riltia's past life, but a Proxxy past life would make more sense here, I suppose.

I suppose the only way to find out is through the memory cartridge.

Or we could ask Al if he recognized either Vi or Rex. If Al recognized Vi, then we're dealing with a past life that occurred after Minus (since I believe Minus is the first cycle he witnessed. probably.), and if he doesn't recognize Vi, the it's pre-Minus. Finally, if Al recognized Rex, then it's Riltia, since Rex as Proxxy would not be in Underside.

EDIT: I don't remember if we already asked Al yet or not.

Print to visor: This is a test; If you can see this, please confirm.
If you can see this I have a Quest for you. Bring a few of these visors to Ciro and her party. We can get her to pay you when we get control of her back.

Think of the meta-knowledge we can pass on!

Are you sure the visor won't explode? Like last time we overloaded it? Maybe we need a visor upgrade before we continue the meta-knowledge quest.

The only reason why it exploded was because we uploaded all of the text suggestions at once, as well as a wall of text.

In which case, carry on. But we need to manage what we submit.

Anyone else have an urge to apply current directly to the ardent circuit?

Anyone else have an urge to apply current directly to the ardent circuit?

I was more thinking that the Ardent Circuit could itself provide current to electrical beings. Similarly to how Soul Charge can be used to infuse a character with restorative life force, the Ardent Circuit may be able to bring a robot back from the brink of disrepair, or kick-start a bugged-out device into working again, simply with an infusion of Soul Charge.

Either that or its powers have been assimilated by the Thief.

Or maybe it's a level 0 Soul Star that requires advancing to gain its powers.

..............................................................wow....I don't think I have ever seen a forum game get this big and live.

Yeah, I couldn't believe my luck either.

While I was on my first read-through, there was some poll running for the TWotWoOtAoOtA Warrens-within-the-Warrens role-play and I thought that was the main game, assuming: a) TWoOta had become oversubscribed - the amount of suggestions finally overwhelming FSS - and it had had to adopt a limited-choice polling system b) The main game as we know it had ended and descended into some weirdly kind of simplified (and overpowered) post-game.

So I was overjoyed to find TWoOtA continuing as normal!

02 FOG

So what does this mean?

I'd be tempted to believe it's a key for that code we had earlier, but that doesn't seem logical.

Also, is that input, or just static data? Can both lines of the display be altered using the few buttons we've been given, or do they solely provide input for the bottom line?

Proxxy, tell / show us if the top line of that display can be altered, or if it permanently displays "02 FOG" (if you don't think it's a good idea to mess with the device, then we don't have to do that, just tell us of your past experiences.)

Tell / show us how the device accepts input, and if it takes alphanumeric or just numeric characters as its code.

A Soul Star's name, implies it's (primary)function.
The Astral Influx serves to gather spirits in an area, and switch the target of the spirits.
The Illborn Exchange literally exchanges Illborn for Essence.
The Insolvent Thaumaturge creates items magically, for a drastic price.
The Asynchrony Catalyst does something with rooms, likely displacement.

Likewise, the Ardent Circuit serves some sort of purpose.
The term Ardent, refers to passion or enthusiasm, but is rooted in a word that translates to "to burn". A Circuit is a path that begins and ends at the same place, or a closed and complete path that allows electricity to circulate.
Perhaps it can be used to create temporary pathways that will burn up after use?

Or maybe its purpose is charging stuff with soul charge, like the LSS.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Anyone can charge a LSS, provided they have a Soul Star, with enough Soul Charge. The teleporter rooms likely also function in this manner, just find the input, and allow the machinery to take the Soul Charge. And, as stated by Proxxy, she doesn't know what it does, but HAS charged the teleporters.
