Statistics - Every 5 points in a skill confers a +1 bonus to checks involving that stat. A zero in a skill confers a -1 bonus to checks involving that stat. You may allocate a total of 10 points.

Strength (STR): Strength is a measure of muscle, endurance and stamina combined. Strength affects the ability of characters to lift and carry weights, successfully perform melee attack rolls, and complete general checks involving moving or breaking stubborn objects.

Dexterity (DEX): Dexterity encompasses a number of physical attributes including hand-eye coordination, agility, reflexes, fine motor skills, balance and speed of movement; a high dexterity score indicates superiority in all these attributes.

Constitution (CON): Constitution is a term which encompasses the character's physique, toughness, health and resistance to disease and poison. A character can support one dermal implant per 3 CON points.

Intelligence (INT): Intelligence is similar to IQ, but also includes mnemonic ability, reasoning and learning ability outside those measured by the written word. A character can support one sub dermal implant per 5 INT points.

Charisma (CHA): Charisma is the measure of the character's overall persuasiveness and personal magnetism.

Implants - These devices boost a man's abilities beyond that which he is normally capable of. Each character may mount one free implant, in addition to any that his statistics allow for.

Dermal - Direct improvements to the skin or the muscles just below its surface. Normally highly visible on the skin.

Second-Hand Repulser: Deflects projectiles utilising a combination of magnetic and energy fields. Can function through any kind of clothing or armour. (80% chance to deflect an instance of encountered projectiles, 20% chance to overload in the face of an instance of encountered projectiles for 5 turns. Can easily be overwhelmed if firepower is focused or prolonged. Cannot deflect energy based projectiles or weapons, such as las-pikes or plasma rifle fire.) VIS: No.

Stiff Shell: Exchange your outer skin with a layer of flexible titanium plating. Slows your movements considerably (-1 DEX) but significantly boosts your survivability during combat (+1 CON. Invulnerable to piercing and slashing attacks from non-energy melee weapons.) VIS: Yes

Cheap LeggIts: A gel-like sleeve is fitted to the lower leg and ankle, improving joint support and assisting muscle movement, allowing for greatly increased speed and endurance. Prolonged, repeated, or intense usage may result in severe muscle damage. Can be overcharged. (+1 DEX when active. +3 DEX when Overcharged. If activated twice in succession or overcharged, there is a 50% chance to rip your calf muscles in half. Ouch. Each consecutive usage increases the chance of muscle destruction by 10%.) VIS: Yes

Bugged Battle Link: Boosts weapon accuracy and situational awareness during close-quarters combat. (+1 to DEX whilst firing a ranged weapon; 1 turn duration, 3 turn cool down. +1 to DEX when attacked by an enemy using a melee weapon; 2 turn duration, 2 turn cool down.) VIS: Yes

Auto-Cannon - Replaces one of your arms with a 20mm cannon. VIS: Yes

Make One Up: Suggest an implant through PM. We'll hit it back and forth until I like the bonuses it confers.

Sub-Dermal - Indirect improvements to organs. Normally not visible to the casual eye.

Cybernetic Heart – Straightforward. Too tired to describe. (+1 to END. -1 to wound recovery time) VIS: No

Neural Booster - Temporarily quickens reaction times, allowing you to do twice as much, twice as quickly, in half the amount of time you normally would be able to do it in. (1 Turn Duration; 5 Turn Cooldown) VIS: No

Aggression Defense System (ADS) – a chest-mounted system that intercepts or outright disables incoming mid-sized projectiles (such as grenades, rockets, or javelins) before they reach you by firing small caliber rounds. VIS: Yes

Organ Redundancy – Allows you to survive a normally fatal body wound. A heavy blow or gunshot to the head or decapitation is still fatal. (live through one fatal wound; doesn’t prevent you from bleeding out) VIS: No

Useful Fluids - You can secrete neurotoxins from your mouth, your blood has a corrosive effect and your urine is a highly flammable. Your organs are said to be protected from the effects of said fluids and potential accidents with them. VIS: No

Make One Up: Suggest an implant through PM. We'll hit it back and forth until I like the bonuses it confers.

Visibility - Some implants (particularly dermal ones) are visible, some are not. Visible implants will immediately identify you as a Roman and may distress some people you meet depending on the individual and where they come from.

Overcharge - Some implants can be 'overcharged' to boost its performance for a single turn. Should an implant glitch or otherwise fail whilst overcharged, it will cease to function, and then melt, rendering it permanently useless and covering the corresponding body part in molten metal and plastic. Shit, dude.

Nanomachines - Microscopic robots that artificially reproduce within your blood stream, designed with the intention of keeping you alive and healthy.

Healing - Will repair wounds for you. Won't heal severed limbs, blindness, brain or nerve damage, or plasma burns. Will mend broken bones if placed in Dura-Foam (a spray-on cast). Removal of foreign objects is never necessary, as the nano's will consume them upon entry. Natural disease will never be an issue. Poisons and neurotoxins are not affected.

Duration will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Bio-meds will reduce the duration of healing by up to 3 turns.

Minor (cuts, stumps ((in regards to a severed limb)), bruises, first degree burns, etc.): 1-2 Turns
Moderate (lacerations, sprains, strains, second degree burns, low calibre gunshot wounds, shrapnel wounds, etc.): 3-4 Turns
Severe (gashes, high calibre gunshot wounds, multiple gunshot wounds, third degree burns, torn muscles, broken bones, etc.) 5 or more Turns

The dice rules are thus:
[Lower Than 1] - Blew Up In the Hanger: You are guaranteed to lose a few limbs, a good chunk of your life, your favorite equipment, your job, your best friend, dignity, etc. The severity of the loss goes in accordance with however many points below 1 you have fallen.
[1] - Utter Loss: It didn't work, and you've likely made the situation worse in the process.
[2] - Failure: Whatever you were trying to do, it didn't pan out.
[3] - Ineffective: Your action was successful, but it hardly made a difference.
[4] - Success: It worked, and with the intended results.
[5] - Pure Victory: The action went just as you planned it, and you even managed to get something else in too.
[6] - Pyrrhic: The action went as planned, but with unexpected side effects marring the success.
[Higher Than 6] - I Don't Understand: You are guaranteed to gain extra limbs, a more satisfying life, cool gear, yummy food, more friends, vastly improved rhetoric, etc. The value of the gain goes hand-in-hand with the amount of points above 6 that you have risen.

Appearance: Cassia is a short woman who looks to be in her young to middle twenties. Her hair is black, long, and wavy. Usually, all of it but a few bangs to frame the left side of her face is kept back in a thick braid, secured every three twists or so with leather bands. Her face is heart-shaped and seems to emphasize her large, dark brown eyes. Her skin is a light brown in color and generally unblemished by the rigors of combat. In short, she looks every bit the bright, chipper, fresh-faced rookie who has no idea what they're in for that she actually is.

As for help with Sub-Dermal implants, I don't have many unique ideas, and one of them at least may be considered Dermal, but still.

OK, first the really obvious one: some form of forearm or knuckle mounted weapon. This could be like Wolverine's claws or the hidden blades in the Assassin's Creed games, or it could be some form of close-to-mid range miscellaneous attack like a shotgun, flamethrower, taser, or acid/poison mist spray. It could even be a distraction or utility-focused item, like dispensing thick smoke, a slippery gel to trip foes, or firing a miniature grappling hook that can be used to climb, catch fleeing foes, steal enemy weapons, etc. Some of the above - mainly the flamethrower/smoke/acid/poison things - could be located in the mouth instead for a surprise attack.

Eye implants are a given, of course, and there are a few obvious ones - different modes of vision, ones that given info about a target, ones that sync up with a ranged weapon's scope to provide more accurate shooting, etc. If you really want to, you could even go for oddball stuff like heat vision or eye lasers. Depends on how wacky this will be.

Synthetic muscle fibers could be used to improve the three physical stats: arms for strength, legs for dexterity, torso for constitution. Some sort of VI implant into the brain could be used to boost intelligence and maybe charisma as well based on the idea that it would help the implantee read their target/s better and choose words/postures that would help to convince the audience. And while we're on the subject of synthetic muscles and all of that, nano machines could do a lot too, such as repairing damaged tissues to promote healing or regulate internal functions to help fight things like poisons or prevent the hands from shaking too much.

That's basically all I got right now. ^^^;

First off, I think implants should focus more on granting new abilities rather than just aiding certain actions the player can already do. As such, here are my suggestions:

1. An artificial heart or vascular system enhancement - can help with endurance rolls, stops bleeding, prevents hypothermia and all that jazz.

2. Internal defense mechanisms that protect the operative from ingested, inhaled, injected or otherwise absorbed biological agents and toxins. Perhaps throw in radiation resistance as well.

3. Streamlined neural network that quickens reaction times by a considerable margin.

4. Internal targeting system for making difficult shots.

5. An added endocrine gland that deploys internally-formed painkillers, stimulants, coagulants, anti-coagulants or anti-depressants, depending on the situation.

6. A memory module that lets an operative memorize and retrieve every single thing they've ever looked at or heard ever since installation, essentially giving them a perfect, photographic memory and allowing to carry a library's worth of manuals/facts/gentlemen's literature with instant viewing and recall options, depending on the user.

7. A streamlined, controllable metabolism that allows for complete hibernation/low hunger, low thirst/high-power mode, between which they can switch at will.

8. Regeneration, duh. Nanomachines and shit, you know.

9. A sensory upgrade - heightened senses of smell, hearing, taste, touch and sight. Added internal radar, sonar and other senses, if this is too underpowered.

10. Internal sensor and communications frequency jammer, making you undetectable to conventional sensors or potentially disruptive to a well-organized army if you wish.

11. Aggressive Defense System - a system that sets off or disables incoming explosives before they reach you by sending a special signal that destabilizes their internal components.

12. Organ Redundancy Upgrade of Redundancy - your organs can double for one another, so you can't really suffer an instantly fatal wound that doesn't also explode your entire head and torso.

13. Useful Fluids - you can secrete neurotoxins from your mouth, your blood has a corrosive effect on metals and your urine is highly flammable. Your organs are said to be protected from the effects of said fluids and potential accidents with them.

14. Mag-Hands - powerful electromagnets in your hands allow you to pull metal objects to you across short distances and launch them away at deadly speeds.
