UNITY
Story/History:40 years ago: Earth's ecosystems are rapidly crumbling under the pressure of industry and expansion, 80% of all plant and animal life is destroyed. As natural resources and space become an increasing issue, two prevalent sides form, The Allied Commonwealth, consisting of Australia, Britain, her colonies and the United States, and The New Soviet Union, consisting mainly of Russia and her satellites.
30 years ago: Earth is void of all plant and animal life, over crowded, and dying. Both the Commonwealth and Union's leaders recognize their only chance lies in a shared future, so they pool what is left of their resources and create a massive ship, capable of inter stellar travel, this ship's purpose is to seek out colonizable planets. This ships is called the
Unity.
24 years ago: Shortly after exiting the Orion arm of our galaxy, all contact with the Unity ceases. No messages, no distress beacon, nothing...
NOW: the Unity has been spotted by the new Hubble telescope, and you have been selected as part of an expedition to travel to and explore the Unity with the purpose of discovering what happened to the ship and it's crew...

Non-optional; Automatic
Exo-suit: This suit fits neatly over your body and allows for external operations on space stations. It comes with an integration unit for a class 12 HUD, mag-lock boots, search lights on both sides of the helmet and inter-suit communication.
36 hours of oxygen: The Unity is only half pressurized, you will have to make it to a safe area within the first day and a half.
3 Days worth of Food
5 Days worth of Water
Tools of their trade: If your are a medic you will have medicinals, defibrillator, etc. Stuff that you would need to be of help with your chosen profession.
A class 12 HUD (Heads-Up Display): This includes, a bio sensor reading of you and whoever you are looking at, a compass, a map of the explored section of the ship (at any turn you can 'scan the area' this will upload the shapes of the rooms you are in, as well as mark points of interest.) and a munitions display of your current weapons, if applicable.
Optional; Choose 3
Type-1 Directed Energy Weapon: This weapon is a small, compact handgun that is surprisingly powerful for its small frame. This weapon never needs a recharge but can only fire 12 times before it needs to cool-down.
Type-2 Directed energy Weapon: This is a reconfigured and modified Type-1. Basically it has the same ammo system but is a stun-gun.
Type-3 (Not so)Directed Energy Weapon: The Type-3 is a scatter gun that shoots condensed light at opponents, it burns melts and pretty much destroys everything. 6 shots between cool-down. 30 shots before recharge is necessary.
Type-9: Commonly called 'The Reaper', this gun has twin barrels that allow for fast, yet accurate shooting at short to mid-range targets. 50 shots between cool-downs. 200 shots before recharge.
Type-12: This is a sniper rifle deployed for the last 10 years by Spec-Ops. It has a 12-50* scope and may fire 6 times before you need to reload it. It comes with 5 magazines.
Oxy-Wielder: Can be used to permanently seal doors, fix ruptures, build things from metal and burn flesh.
Crowbar: Useful for opening jammed, or non powered/operational doors. Also good for hitting things.
Portable Generator: Can temporarily power individual systems, robots, and small craft.
Door Hacker: (not necessary for those with an Tech or IT background) Opens locked doors on board the Unity.

Scavenge-able/Creatable:
The Obliterator: Made by Unholy_Pariah, this gun is created via the blending of two Type-3 DEWs and has triple the stats of the original.
Type-7: Decommissioned due to it's destructive capability when used incorrectly, this weapon is pretty mush a laser launcher of doom. It shoots charged particles at ridiculously high speeds. It fires 3 times between charges, and may fire 12 times before a change of charge cell is necessary.

Appearance: Tall, skinny, not very built
Qualification, Job: Systems Technician
Equipment: Default, plus a Type-1 energy weapon, an Oxy-Wielder, and a portable generator.

Name: Cerulean Cage Madaraki
Gender: Female
Appearance: Slightly built girl around 5 feet tall. Skin is the color of fair human skin, eyes and hair are currently a slightly deep blue, but both can shift colors on demand. Eyes are solid orbs and body has a slightly "doll-like" construction, with joints visible under close inspection.
Qualification, Job: Biomedic
Background: Madaraki Systems Inc. Self-Aware Synthetic Human Agent, Biological Manipulation and Assessment Loadout (BioSASHA). This unit is fully equipped to handle tasks requiring professional education in biological systems, including but not limited to identification of organic materials and organisms; diagnosis and treatment of disease, injuries, and biological defects; assessment and repair of injuries and other organic damage; and genetic investigation and engineering. SASHA units are fully aware individuals and have been declared legal humans by Section 10.5 of the Rights to Life and Dignity Act as ratified by both the Allied Commonwealth and New Soviet Union. Please maintain SASHA units' mental states in mind when dealing with them.
SASHA units are perfectly safe at all times; however, due to their complexity, they may sometimes make decisions that seem strange, as with any living creature. Please rest assured that any anomalous behavior is due to a SASHA's difficult circumstances and does not reflect their normal states of mind or the SASHA line in general.

Name: James Cantron
Gender: Male
Appearance: James stands at a relatively normal 5'8", with brown hair and green eye. He has a toned, lean build, and there are several scars from the hits he took while a SWAT team member.
Qualification, Job: Ex-SWAT team member- a CQC specialist.
Background: Born two years before the Unity left earth, James grew up in one of the many megacities in the world- the old US eastern seaboard. Quickly choosing a career in the police as both a job and something to do that might actually help the world, he quickly became qualified for a SWAT team, and thus began what would be 10 years of service in the SWAT teams, serving a s a CQC specialist in all kinds of situations. When the Unity mission came up, though, he jumped at the chance to go, both due to the fact that he was curious as to what had happened, and wanted to see for himself, and that his family had actually been turned away from the original voyage due to barely missing the requirements.

Name: Agramand the last moon-martian
Gender: Male
Appearance: 6'4", light green skin, dark green compound eyes, hunched build, tentacle arms.
Qualification, Job: Alien survivor
Background: after the slow extinction of his species was all but complete and he was the only one of his kind remaining under the surface of the earths moon he gathered all of his liberated possessions and set forth onto the surface wearing only his battle robe and a re-breather distributing these artifacts in crude makeshift altars above the remains of the under cities that had been home to those left behind for so many generations. discovered unconscious near a half built altar dedicated to some sort of royal scepter by astronauts returning to their shuttle he was brought back to earth and quarantined for 8 months by the Allied Commonwealth before he finally realized they were speaking to him in several different languages instead of adopting a single universal language for the planet he quickly deciphered the most common tongue and informed them of the true meaning of the altars in exchange for a spot on the unity mission in the hopes of finding some shred of information relating to the success or failure of his ancestors exodus.

Name: Chelsea Douglas
Gender: Female
Appearance:: A classic "Amazonian beauty"; tall and fairly muscular, yet still fair-featured. Her shoulder-length dirty blonde hair is tied back in a ponytail. Her bright green eyes flash when she looks around. It's hard to nail down her exact age - she could conceivably be anywhere from her late teens to her early thirties. Her body is unmarked by scars, but she has no fingernails on her left hand.
Profession: Soldier
Tragic Backstory Background: After wanting to be a soldier her whole life (well, ever since reading "Starship Troopers" in her early teens), Chelsea enlisted as soon as she was of age then spent years waiting for her first deployment. The private feels ready for the assignment on the Unity.

Name: Nastia Sulzhuk
Gender: Female
Appearance: The slim wiry frame that her job demands is complimented by a short haircut and very small breasts, more closely resembling a tall twelve year old boy than a woman, or some two faced friends may remark. Her face is not unattractive, if a bit plain. Rustic features, Brown hair, Brown eyes. A tan from swimming heavily, as a search and rescue pilot, picking up downed craft, or individuals more often, from an ocean landing is both common and very difficult if not tempered.
Job/Qualification:Search and Rescue Craft Pilot
Background: Working for six years in the Union Cosmic Navy as a SAR pilot has brought her to this point. She joined the job because she wanted to leave her little plot of land and not become either a possession or a single mother. She is relatively laid back and cool despite the fact she is twenty four. As a SAR pilot she is well versed in tactical insertion and emergency medicine, as all SAR personnel are. She has handled weapons but does not use one on a daily basis and only has a moderate to basic understanding of them.

OREOSOME
Name:Aelto Kelarn
Gender: Male
Appearance: A man of average height, with green eyes and black hair.
Qualification, Job: Marine/Tech Specialist
Background: A accomplished soldier, specializing in using the hi-tech devices the militaries of the world have at their disposal.
Equipment: Type-1 Directed Energy Weapon, Crowbar, Portable Generator
Name : Kalum Mekhandar
Gender : Male
Appearance : 5 ft 7, 275 pounds, short cropped brown hair and bright blue eyes.
Qualifications, Job : Former soldier, Recon and assassination expert.
Background : Kalum is a former soldier, he was a sniper and was often drafted by agencies that preffered not to do the wet work themselves.
After years of being sent to kill one person after another without ever being given a reason why he quit and signed on as security with a company that sent ships into space.
Equipment : Default, Type 9, Type 12, Oxy-Wielder.
