I'm actually curious about how sentient eating works.  How do you actually obtain the food from your enemies ( or dwarves' ) corpses?  How do you mod this, for that matter?

GOD DAMN IT NRDL.

Wow, quite the firecat- slow to tire, VERY active, open minded, does first thing on her mind....BOWCHICABOWOW.
Better be careful though...shes really susceptible to disease XD

This is actually my first time with dwarves as cannibals so I assume its just through butchering dead dwarves/hippies/humies and such but I dont know yet. All you have to do to mod it is go to your df raws, objects, entity_default and change the ETHICS tabs for nomming on sentients to ACCEPTABLE and bam, cannibal dorfs....canna dorfs.... GET YOUR CANNED DWARF HERE! FULLY EDIBLE AND BEER BATTERED!

Side effect of the entity ethical choices.  They'll use the butcher workshop.

   [ETHIC:EAT_SAPIENT_OTHER:ACCEPTABLE]
   [ETHIC:EAT_SAPIENT_KILL:ACCEPTABLE]

.... But this won't less you eat your own civilization.  Dunno if BFEL did something else.

Something horrible has happened...

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

ITS SUMMER!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!! WE ARE ALL GONNA BE FRIED DWARF....mmm that sounds tasty... BUT ITS REALLY SCARY TOO >.>

As you can see, activity zones do indeed show Hot and pools are quickly killed by heat.
AND NOW ITS FRICKIN SUMMER.

Olon Painthairs, is now our woodcutter, sentenced to probable heat death because hes basically the only one who wasn't dorfed. Poor poor Olon, no one wanted you.

OH MY SOME FOUL FOG SHOWED UP:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

and it promptly evaporated or something. It seems to be stuck on top of our mountain.
Yup that place no one ever goes. That place is full of occasional evil fog of unknown effect.
STAY AWAY FROM MY MOUNTAIN.

Our first bridge is up now. YAY TESTED AND IT WORKS. Had forts killed by bridges that didn't actually do their jobs before, it was very sad, much shiny gold items were involved.

I think something is wrong with Olon, hes just wandering around OUTSIDE. He has no more trees to cut so wtf? Ah well if he wants to melt I'll make him WORK for his suicide (brought on by being so unloved by the current fanbase) CUT MOAR TREES OLON. WHEN YOU DIE YOU SHALL BE FEASTED UPON IN TRUE DWARVEN FASHION. Like some communist utopia or something.

MIGRANTS! WEE!
There is a swordsdwarf among them. He also does baskets....

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

His last name is Boatsrained....I'm not even gonna go into all that is odd about him, just dorfing :P
Wait no HER last name...guess NRDL isn't getting Lecktor just yet. Oh and shes married to a hammerdwarf and they brought their brat along....why didn't I mod brats to grow faster? Crapbaskets....NO NIL I DON'T WANT YOU TO WEAVE ME ONE! EWWW.

Well her hubby is a Fish Dissector. Because that job can absolutely develop in a world where setting foot outside is a reliable form of suicide. Maybe he just catches cave fish or something...fuck if I know at this point. He does have a totally epic last name though, KINGDOMRELICS. Apparently he's old, no wonder hes a fish person.

As for their child, know what you get when you put Boatrained and Kingdomrelics together? Apparently the answer is Oarattic. Sadly that makes an odd kind of sense.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

OHMYGOD I ZONED OUT AND SHE FRIED GET INSIDE INSIDE NOW!

So....um yeah we now have an extra hammerdwarf/fish dissector and a useless brat....fuck
Ah well guess its time to test if Dwarves can be butchered for nummy meats.
Ok or not, by the time I got to her she was rotten so no butchering for her, instead MIASMA YAY.

Damn, at this rate I'm never gonna get to butcher a mother and turn her into masterwork dwarf biscuits that I feed to her spouse and child :(

Nope. We are pretty much water free till we hit the caves.
And I have never dug that far down yet so yeah :P

MOAR AXERINGS!

On a whim I took a look at Mrs. Meltface's status thru her husbands relationship tab and am immediately rewarded:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Man when her bio said "almost never feels discouraged, THEY FUCKING MEANT IT!

OH GOD.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

STOP DIEING! THIS ISN'T HELPING ANYONE!

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

(before anyone asks no I don't know wtf is up with the image cropping)

They all died. My entire first migrant wave just bled to death in front of me....do you know what this means?

*DWARF ROASTS*

...or not...wtf? Wait I have an idea. No that doesn't work either....huh.
*cries for lack of Dwarf tallow biscuits*

Ok I'm better now. BACK TO THE GAME CLUSTERFUCK!

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Aw they all have coffins next to each other SO SHWEET.
And speaking of coffinfiller:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

YAY BODIES MIGRANTS Bodies.....definately bodies....

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Ok they MIGHT survive, depending on how fast they swarm to the sweet non-melty insides of my fort.
And swarm they do. Maybe we can get the population to stay at 15 this time.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

YAY TRADERS! Now I can get an anvil, and foodstuffs, and other things that I need to do things! HURRAY FOR THINGS!

I just hope they make it to the depot....

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

AND ITS GOOD!!! 3 points for Axerings!

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

YAY I GOTS AN ANVIL NAO! Also moar foods and booze, cloth bin, and leather bin. Got some buckets too for some reason. Probably because I'm always too lazy to make those myself. That sounds right.

Offered the most insane prices for a breeding pair of Dogs/cats/turkeys, so I can make my own meats. Also ordered a lot of exotic meats and eggs, most of which came from animal people, because I am a bastard.

I now have a merchant problem

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Specifically, THEY WON'T FRICKEN LEAVE!
Now this wouldn't be too much of a problem if they weren't prone to sitting there until they go insane from hunger and thirst, leaving me to clean up the mess they make, and likely cause a loyalty cascade.
I have locked our inner bridge to avoid any berserker merchants from slaughtering my fort, but that means I cannot access the anvil, cloth, leather...you get the picture. Basically LEAVE YOU ASSMUNCHES!

Oh god what if migrants arrive?
Migrants did NOT arrive. Apparently the first wave melting put them off.
Oh well who needs em? I don't, I have a fully functioning fort with a sexy, slightly off center dining hall. And I'm fixing that now so BOOYAH BITCHES.

And now some elves arrived to trade....of course the dwarven caravan is still in there so I don't know what these bitches are gonna do. Not even sure I want to risk a berserk merchant just to get some extra wood. Eh maybe they have some exotic animals I can seize from them, guess its worth a quick look.

NOPE. Ah well I'll just seize all the stuff they um...don't need weighing em down. After all, they don't use pack animals, so they must be tired of carrying it all right?

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Oh Apiks you silly person, always organizing things.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Looks like some Kobolds heard about Apiks party and wanted to join in, but I was out at the moment and the bouncer threw them out to become Kobold tallow. We are SOOO gonna get sued.

Well thats all for today, but stay tuned to Axerings-Disco Inferno Edition for more utter hilarity

Just fry some more dwarves!
Ok, if we can't butcher dwarves, maybe elves or gobbos will suffice?

"We" there means "have you dorfed me already?" and "how's that my Cool (literaly) temple going?"

Did you know that the Russian word for "sock" is "no sock"?
